Check out photographers work you love. Weddings are very special occasions where have often traveled from around the world. Capture the feeling of the wonderful occasion. Check out prices that pro's charge and see if you can produce cheaper(but not to much cheaper).
People buy photo's regardless of the fact that it is Mickon/Manon or some other make.
Smiles sell/family groups. Go for it.

I would love to shoot wedding photos. I would love to hear how you all started doing wedding photos. I have taken pictures of my dad and step moms wedding and a wedding of a lady who I used to baby sit her son. I haven't been paid for a wedding photo shoot. how do you get clients and how do you tell if your good enough or not? what type of equipment do you need. so far I only have a digital camera it's a cannon power shot 10xis. I love it. however I know there are more expensive equipment that I need to buy to be a professional photographer. I wish I could afford the cost and start up. How did you all do it. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

what a great idea! I photograph several weddings a year professionally and it would be interesting to see how many calories I burn in a day. HOWEVER, with the buffet style meal every weekend I think I pretty much gain everything back haha :-)

I will have to agree as well that shooting a wedding is very tiring but so much fun!! I have shot several weddings and have been sore the next day!

I have started wearing a pedometer during the weddings I photograph. I don't count it as exercise, but I do notice how many more steps I have on the days when I have a wedding.

I would wager that photographing weddings burns a LOT more calories than the activity discussed in the article but, it is still considered "activity" and not "exercise."

I hope you dont mind a newbie contributing to your post but YES! IT is a very physical job. In fact it is so physical I have had to take a break from it due to something called frozen shoulder syndrome, due to my diabetes. But I hope to get back to it within a year and as physical as it is I just love photoging weddings :)

Do you track your workout from shooting a wedding? Weddings are so exhausting and full of walking, squatting, standing...sometimes crawling, carrying tons of equipment etc.....surely I burned many many calories today. :)
