We started a Biggest Loser competition at work today. It will last for 14 weeks. I am very limited (doctor's orders) on what I can do exercise why, so I plan to "step up" my game. I am shooting for 500,000 steps this month. That alone should make a big difference.

I also plan to try something new, that I have never done before, exercise-wise. Not sure what it will be yet, since my doc has to clear it.

I want to try at least 1 new recipe this month. That is a biggie for me, because I am a VERY finicky eater, and so are my husband and son.

I am Monkey...watch me lose!

My goal for February is to carry on from January and do 10000 steps at least 5 out of 7 days and do yoga class at least twice a week. The dog and I are benefiting from this challenge - she and I have both lost weight in Jan - Holly one pound and me three. emoticon

emoticon Beth!! You did great! I lost 3 pounds, but for all that's gone on in January, I'm blessed to have lost an ounce! emoticon

February? Geeze, it's February? Gosh, it is! Hope to keep up the exercise, at least a little daily. Work out in the yard if the pollen doesn't kill me! Walk with a buddy outside...again, if I can stand the pollen.

I can't believe I missed putting my January goal here.. thought for sure I did!

Anyway, ended up being a good month. I will do my final weigh in tomorrow but I THINK I have lost about 7 lbs. I'll take it!

Granted I was up 12 lbs from September to January 1... but at least the scale is moving and my head is not playing tricks about wanting to eat more than I have scheduled.

My goal is to keep doing my exercise everyday, if it even for 60 minutes, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday, get at least 60 minutes of ME TIME, continue eating my Fruits and vegetables, and live a healthy life.

My January plans are to resume what I did last year (2010) and lose these extra 15 pounds I gained in 2011. I have a few new health problems this year that can only be controlled through diet since I'm allergic to the meds, so, here goes!! :) I just have to learn to do all this and take care of my Mom at the same time....she LOVES her sweets and fried foods!! The fried foods I can skip easily, but sweets?!! I need strength! LOL

For the upcoming New Year and Month of January my goal is to remain consistent with my fitness workouts to at least 3 times a week, eat within my calorie range, and do what I can to keep a budget and save $ to purchase airline tickets for me and my son to visit my parents in FL come April spring break. The trip is long overdue and much needed since both my parents health is declining and we've got legal issues to deal with in appointing me an executor. I just want to spend time with them and relieve our worries.

Drastic measures! Have worked out I want to aim to lose 25 lbs - that will take me down to 136 lbs (9.5 stone) and my goal is end of May which should be plenty of time!!!! If I find I'm not looking well at some stage during this goal then I will lessen the goal, but I don't think so?!

My plans:

As soon as the manic festive season is over, these are my plans......

Detoxing, using my local gym at least 4 times during each week and losing my desired weight by the end of July............... this will mean less sparking and more time working on myself - I will still be here doing what I do best - supporting others - but not to the detriment of my own progress - so the year of 2012 will be leading by example.

Well since I failed miserably on my October goals.. I am refocused for November.

I think the transition from outdoors to the treadmill at the gym is what I resisted.. but now I am embracing.

November GOALS:
1. Lose 5 lbs
2. Eat in RANGE ALL MONTH
3. Run 3x per week on the treadmill
4. Strength training 3x per week
5. One day OFF of any cardio/ST .. but reach step goal
6. 10k steps a day
7. Put up visuals in my kitchen and at work to keep me in check!
8. But a few more elastic bracelets.. I am going to have to snap my wrist (not hard lol) to remind me NOT TO TAKE WORK FOOD IN THE KITCHEN.. /sigh

Ok sounds like a lot.. but it's really just staying on track.

Meet 10K goal 5 days per week, other days mix it up with exercise DVD (burns lots calories, just not many steps on pedometer) and biking while weather permits....transitioning to winter plan to avoid re-gaining weight, and adding variety to regimen as getting bored with treadmill.

my goal for the month of Sept,

1.45 to 60 mins Run/ walk on the beach every morning,
2. 60 mins on the Elliptical.
3. Loose 1.5 lbs per week
4. Drink 8 to 10 Glasses of water a day.
5. Do 15 To 20 mins of Strength Training 3 times a week.
6. Do Pilates two times a week.

After a small break from Spark Teams, I'm back and somewhat slimmed down... I am half way to goal and plan on keeping walking as a primary source of exercise. My knees hurt less and I am feeling much more energetic.

Aug 1st is my anniversary... What a better time to get back on track (get it???) than by meeting my 12,000 step daily goal... and take at least one more step each day than the day before. Never go backwards is my theme for the month.

For this month which I am late here but need the motivation...

Drink my water no diet soft drink
Walk daily make it to 10000 steps at least..
Declutter something in my home throw aways stuff I really do not need or used in the past year..
Must do suitcase for we are going to vacation for 10 days with family
Cook healthy food everday no fast food not even for my boys..
Make time for my boys have fun with them.
Most important try to destress myself... hot shower or read a book..



Taking one day at a time.
I know that I can do it.

I wanted to look at my June goals....

I guess we are in June now aren't we...my goals for June..
*to have over 150,000 steps ( I saw it is in fact possible lol)
*to get in over 1000 cardio minutes
*to have fun and RELAX while on vacation (and still keep up my posting when cell service allows. We are going camping in just a few days!!!)
*to lose at least 1 lb by the end of the month (very small steps I know but my body hasn't wanted to let go)


well let's see here as of today I have over 300,000 steps so I met that goal.
I am at over 1200 cardio mins so far for the month...met that goal
while camping I lost 1 lb I know not a lot but I busted my butt for that one lb

My goal for this month is to lose 1.5 pounds each week and to add 250 steps to my daily total. My time is limited and I try to walk as far and for as long as I can with my time restraints. I will make a huge effort to get back to eating a healthier diet. Keep your fingers crossed for me because I am totally stressed at the moment with the home situation.

I guess we are in June now aren't we...my goals for June..
*to have over 150,000 steps ( I saw it is in fact possible lol)
*to get in over 1000 cardio minutes
*to have fun and RELAX while on vacation (and still keep up my posting when cell service allows. We are going camping in just a few days!!!)
*to lose at least 1 lb by the end of the month (very small steps I know but my body hasn't wanted to let go)

I have so many goals for this month.
To reach 1000 cardio min (unfortunately for some reason my first time didn't register all my mins so I am like 20 or so min off on the official Spark page)
to get at least 3 bottles of water in me a day (each bottle is 33 oz)
To become more confident in me (oh that one will take more time I think)

Still sticking to my 5k interval walk/jog training and invested in some GOOD shoes. What a difference they made today. Still working on staying with the yoga, incorporating foam roller stretches and exercises, and the strength.

Next 5k race is June 4.

My goal this month is to stay consistent with my 5k interval training to prepare for the Dollars for Scholars 5k race on June 4th. My b-day is June 6th and I want to celebrate me and the positive changes I've made to my life by doing this 5k and helping raise funds for the local scholarship programs.

The weather is going to start turning muggy so I really need to stay consistent, improve on my speed, and not get injured. My IT bands on my legs have become tight so I am using a newly acquired foam roller to add to my stretching program. Once I have this upcoming 5k under my belt I will have met a long term goal for this year- 2 5k races or more for 2011.

Mandy it's so easy to get 12 Glasses of water in for the day,just drink a glass every Hour, if you start at 7am and finish at 7pm that is 12 Glasses,some time I drink more than that, Try it and Good luck. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I was doing great strength training the last week of April. Since traveling over the last couple of days, I've not done any of it & even falling short of steps. I'm not totally down on myself but want to work on this so it won't be an issue next time I travel.

For the month of May, I want to do my ST 3 days a week. This might be a toughy as I'm already a bit behind.
