I know Linda, it's just sometimes I'd just love to open the door and pull something out without having to climb in and pull out all and sundry to find what I want.

I need to get into them anyway soon and sort out exactly what is in there, it's not hard to lose things in the freezer only to find mystery parcels a few years down the track emoticon

Jules,

Cubic foot for cubic foot, an upright definately does not hold as much as a chest freezer. I found that out when I went from my small apartment sized 12 cu ft chest to a 18 cu ft upright.....

I'd love to have a couple of open out freezers but I don't think they'd store what I have in the chest ones.

I got rid of my chest freezer and went to an upright for that very reason. I had to almost climb into the chest go get anything at the bottom......

It must be a coincidence that I have another pantry cupboard to put together and I'll need a page for the contents.

I like the second one better as well. It's easier to write down whatever you have with a blank template.

I usually put the list for the freezer items on the side of the freezer in a plastic sleeve and the pen/pencil in the bag.

I just wish there was an easy way to store items in large chest freezers. They store a ton more than the open door ones, but are a major pain (especially for short people like me) to get things out of. It doesn't take much for me to topple into ours. emoticon emoticon

Well, I just found out I had put some of my home made canned goods in another cabinet...
Now, if I would have had an inventory spread sheet, I might not have Lost them !!!

Here is a link for all kinds of sheets.
