Good bye weight tracker,

I have finally had to admit that I will no longer loss any more weight and that I am starting to gain. Don't get me wrong this is a good thing, I have lost another half inch in my waist and am thin enough now that all my abs are visible. I am back up to 164 pounds and don't think I have anymore fat to lose. I am going to spend even more time on lifting weights and see if I can get back up into the 170's with pure muscle gain. I have added a fitness minute tracker to my page and am ready to rock it.

Look out world, this 50 year old is ripped!

I got on the scale to weigh in for the week and I am down a pound! Yea 162! Since my weight changed I decided to pullout the tape measure. My waist is at 32.5, down a full inch from last month.

It sounds like you're doing everything right -- eating well and exercising regularly. Do you take a day off from exercise now and then? I think that's important. Recovery. They talk about it with regard to running, but I am guessing it applies to other sports as well. Your body needs time to recover. 3 pounds is such a small amount! I hope you can get off the plateau and reach your goal! But if not, maybe your body is telling you something - maybe you're right where you need to be.

OK it is time to get serious!

I don't know if anyone remembers but I got stuck at 166 pounds and then out of no wear I lost 3 pounds. Now I have been stuck at 163 for over 2 weeks and I would really like to lose the last 3 of my final weight lose goal. I am walking twice a day, morning and late afternoon, and alternating days between weights and cardio.

My wife was once again laughing at me last night for working out so hard when she thinks I am already to thin. I did 3 sets of bicycle crunches, 3 sets of regular crunches with 30 pound weights, and 3 sets of oblique exercises. My abs were screaming. I also did my normal strength training.

I know it is all vanity, but I am turning 50 next year and I would really like to have my 6 pack back before that happens.

I'm just now starting over with this different approach--meat-less and milk-less (or very limited in-take of). Have 93 pounds to lose... here we go!

It only gets worse if you let it!!

Moved my tracker down one more pound. It is official, I have lost 30 pounds since I started Sparkpeople! Had a black bean burger and sweet potato fries last night, yum! I am sore today, but it is a good sore. I may have to cut back on the bench press the rest of the week, I think I strained my left pectoral muscle.

After being stuck at 166 pounds for over a month, I checked my weight on tuesday and I was at 165. I thought it was just a fluke so I checked it Wednesday and I was still at 165. So I accepted it and changed my tracker. This morning I decided to weigh myself again so I can see how I do over the weekend, and I am at 164. What the heck! I am eating the same and doing the same amount of exercise. Whatever happened it looks like I broke my plateau.

I don't really care what number the scale shows, I just want to lose this pudge I have around the middle. I lifted weights yesterday after work so decided to have a fruit smoothy to cool off after the work out. I added in the protein powder and it was awful! It made the smoothy all chalky. It was a struggle to drink it all. I will not make that mistake again :)

Completely forgot to weigh in this morning. That is totally not like me. But I hit the weights pretty good today and will get my abs and core in later after work.
I will weigh in tomorrow for sure!

Maybe you're at the weight you need to be? I noticed you're only 6 pounds from your goal. Could be your goal was off? 6 pounds isn't much, afterall.

I hit the weights hard on Friday. Went for a three hour bike rides both Saturday and Sunday. Ate light all weekend and worked in the yard. I weighted myself this morning and I am still at 166. My scale is frozen in place. I always weigh in on Monday mornings after eating breakfast and getting dressed, and my weight always stays within half a pound up or down. I also bought a protein supplement to start taking, I can't ever seem to get in enough protein without the meat.

TEXASLIL, to change your weight in the tracker, I believe you just need to go to My Trackers, go to the weight one, and enter your weight for today. It updates the weight graphic for you.

I am stuck at 166. My wife helps keep me motivated by always telling me that I am building muscle and that is why the readings on the scale have stopped going down.

160 fully clothed. Which gives me 154 since I know how much the clothes weigh. Has gone up since last week but toning up. Hopefully it'll start coming off soon, though - I've been steadily but slowly putting on weight for months and though I still have a 'normal' BMI I know that it will keep rising if I'm not careful. Do have a fair bit of muscle, though, and I'm not built to be skinny. Or is that just an excuse?

oh my, I thought I was the only one who could plateau for a year; I have yet to get below 160; I cannot remember when I weighed less than that. My weight is on its way down again, but I always seem to lose 1-3lbs and then gain them back and then lose them again and gain them back. I don't go out to dinner that often, but when I do I seem to gain an extra pound or two, so then I have to lose those as well. I know that's probably just water retention, but it always seems to take 2 or 3 days to get rid of those extra pounds. I am back to the gym and really want to establish some consistency there. We have so much snow at the moment that the gym will have to be my best friend for a little while yet until hubby and I can get out for our walks again.
