Today's my Sparkaversary! :)

I can't remember what I weighed when I first started with SP, but I know that I FEEL so much better today than I did when I first joined up. Using the tools and the resources here has helped me really take control of my health. I feel like a bajillion bucks!

Anyone out there Sparkaversary twins with me? ;)

Wow! Thanks for the post. I scrolled down and found where I had posted in February. To update I am now down 28 pounds. I didn't make the 50 pounds in a year, but I am more than half way there. Only 22 more to go. I think I can do it this year. I am not giving up.

Been on a plateau since November, but I know that sooner or later I'm going to break through and start to be on the move downward again.

Hey

Hey guys

Hey you guys

Guess what?

WE'VE BEEN HERE NEARLY A YEAR!!

That's:

-A year of ups and downs
-A year of learning about how to take better care of ourselves
-A year of sharing our challenges and our successes
-A year of loving ourselves enough to stick with it - even if we backslid a little, we're STILL HERE

I think that deserves a

Yesterday I started phase two of Wii Active 2's 9 week challenge. I was intimidated when I started my workout, since the reps had increased, but I plowed right through it. It felt great! Totally validated how much stronger I am getting, and how much my endurance has improved.

I started with Spark People on Jan. 17. Today Feb. 28 I am ten pounds lighter. I am so pumped. I haven't lost this much weight in years. Ten pounds down, 40 to go. A year ago I would be obsessing on the 40 to go. Now I am focused on how great losing the ten is.

I would like to give a WOOHOO to everyone on this team, your such a wonderful support team and friends. My woohoo would be that I have lost 6.8 pounds so far and my jeans don't give me as big of a muffin top as they have been.

@BUGQUEEN I'm very proud of you for your success at the restaurant, and for doing the Zumba classes...

@RUN4FUNTODAY walking through snow is a workout in itself...

@RUGBRATMOM that is excellent with the jeans fitting better, sometimes that is a better feeling than seeing the scale move down, because we know we lost some inches...

@ALLISONLORETTA Way to go with the weight loss, keep up the great work....

I put on a pair of pant today and realized that it had a ton of material in the front/crotch area. I didn't remember these pants looking so strange when I wore them a few weeks ago. Then I realized that I can slide my fist in between my hip and the waistband of the pants. Not just a finger or two...a whole fist! I realized that if I pulled on them a little I could get them down without unbuttoning them! Last week I was surprised that I could zip a pair of my tight jeans without laying on the bed and fighting them but all my other pants still fit. I was shocked to find these pants too big because I didn't lose any weight this week. It is weird to lose inches but not weight.

Well then a woo-hoo for you yesterday for trudging through the snow! That is a workout for sure!

It was just a strange feeling last night at the restaurant as I'm eating the spinach burrito, then when I was about 2/3 done with it, something clicked in my brain that told me I was full. I put down my fork and was satisfied. I was so happy, and I can't even begin to tell you!

So my woo-hoo for today was going to Zumba class this morning when I really was feeling run down, but not really sick. I pushed myself to go and finished the class. I'm planning on doing another Zumba session tonight (it's a "Zumba party", and it's well attended and very energetic).

Tell me your woo-hoo for the day.

How did this happen, you ask? You made the decision to invest in yourself, and you're doing it! Isn't it a great feeling to make yourself a priority and see the results--realizing you feel satisfied by eating healthy? You're fantastic!

I didn't earn your woo hoo for me--I walked at lunchtime yesterday, which turned out to be much more work than I anticipated because I was wearing heavy winter boots and I trudged through snow and slush. So I was pretty sore and tired when I got home and decided not to push it by running. But tonight I'll try again!

First, let me give you a woo hoo for planning to run after work today!

My woo hoo of the day was eating a sensible meal at my favorite Mexican restaurant. It's incredibly hard for me not to eat the entire bowl of chips, but I had only 11 chips. I ate 2/3 of my spinach burrito and didn't touch the rice or refried beans. No margarita either. And I feel completely satisfied. How did this happen?!

As a team, it's important to support and celebrate with each other. So please share your victories here. They can be scale or non-scale, whatever you're feeling good about. Don't be afraid to brag; let us share in your celebration!
