No plans for me. I mean, literally, I am doing nothing at all. I have no one to please, so it's S.A.D. for me. Single's Awareness Day.
Working on becoming Goku, from the series Dragon Ball Z (cosplay).
Every Valentine's Day our church has a valentine dinner for the married and engaged couples.
We have a catered dinner, music, and a valentine message from our pastor.
In addition some brave souls play an older marrieds version of the newlywed game called the
marrieds game with our own show host!
In addition there are pictures taken by some resident photographers for each couple.
A really nice evening for everyone involved.
My hubby and I are looking forward to it as we have not been able to attend for a couple of years.
Time to get a new picture too!

Valentines Day is very special to me, as it is 2 days before my husband's birthday. When we were dating, I surprised him by driving down (I was in school, six hours away) and whisked him off for a romantic night at a classy hotel. I don't know which surprised him more-- the fact that I had driven down, or the fact that his parents had been in on it, and knew that I planned on taking him to the romantic hotel! LOL!
Oh, I did stay in town for 2 more nights on that trip, but those were spent on his folks' couch, as my entire budget had been blown on Valentines Day! Wonderful memories!!!
We ate lunch together at the Chinese restaurant between our offices. Then I made a special dinner that we ate with the kids. After the kids went to bed, we watched a movie. Our official Valentine's date will be Thursday lunch with a Cheesecake Factory gift card.
My hubby got me a new watch for Valentine's. It is very pretty. He did good.
I made steak for dinner, and we also had spinach salad, and mini pitas with hummus. And then I made a cheesecake with soy cream cheese (it was very low sugar too).

We're trying to save money this year so for Valentine's Day this year we'll just be exchanging cards, putting the money that would have been spend on gifts towards our credit cards.
"You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
We try to find an activity to do together instead of exchanging gifts, flowers, chocolate, etc. I bought a Groupon for a local winery wine tasting event with an incredible view of the Olympic Mountains.
Hubby and I are going out for dinner at the Hilton on the 12th. Knowing what I will probably be eating, I'm going to have to increase my exercising a few days before and after to make up for it!!
Today you are you, this is truer than true
There is no one alive, who is youer than you.
Do you like Valentine's Day? Any special plans?
Valentine's Day has always been a so-so day for me. I'm not a fan of the commercialism that comes with it. This year, I don't have any special plans. Maybe dinner out over the weekend.
