Sounds like a good idea Tink. Sometimes stress can make us eat more than we want. So by not worrying about it, you may do just fine. Just make good food choices when you can otherwise enjoy the rest. We'll help ya get back on track after the first of the year.

The church I go to has life groups. We meet in people's houses and have a Bible study and eat dinner. The kids stay at the church and it last about 12 hours.
Well, we were doing a look-see at the calendar for the months of November and December and realised that we only have 2 weeks where we actually meet regularly. The rest of the time is eating, or having socials at the church where there's more eating.
I'm the type of person where if I worry too much about one thing it completely stresses me out and I can't function. So I have decided to put my 'food watching' on hold until the beginning of the year.
My youngest son turns 8 on January 1st (my millenium baby!) and after his party I want to get started back.
I still plan on walking, and I still plan on dancing, but right now, I'm not going to starve myself and give me one more thing to worry about. I don't plan on gorging myself or anything, but I also don't plan on counting every calorie either.
