One thing you might want to do is join either the MARCH or APRIL group so you can talk with others starting CLX. There isn't much cardio as it's mostly ST, but the cardio that it does have are great workouts. I tend to not like Burn it Off, but love the Intervals. Sometimes I'll switch it up and do a TJ cardio instead. I plugged one in the other day and realized how much I missed "Turbo Jam Chalene". She's got a more energetic personality on TJ than she does on CLX.
You are going to love the strength training of CLX - it just makes you feel so empowered. As for the cardio, I agree with Summerlvn85 and replace the Burn it Off. I've also incorporated other cardio on my strength days as well as my non-strength days because I wasn't see the scale move that much with just the strength training and few days of cardio in this program. I'm currently waiting for my TF so I can do my own hybrid of both. Finished my first round of CLX and it is such an awesome program, can't say enough about how great it is! Good for you!!
The CLX cardio (Burn It Off) is short (25-30 min) but intense. I'm no expert, but if you replace any of the cardio in CLX with Turbo Fire/Jam, I would replace Burn It Off. Burn Intervals is about 45 min of interval training. Burn Intervals has been extremely effective for me to build up endurance and I make sure I get my Burn Intervals in every week. If I don't, I feel it the following week. I've never done P90X so I can't comment on that. I hope you enjoy the program. Chalene makes it fun!
Hi, I am just starting Chalene Extreme tomorrow. I had been doing P90X with my husband and son, but they wanted to try something new. So, I decided to branch off on my own and try Chalene, I am already doing a hybrid of Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, and Zumba about evey day. I need the resistance to get my body going!! How is the cardio that comes with this in comparison with Turbo jam or Turbofire and or P90X?
