Instead I became a wife and mom to 5 and "dr" all our pets...we have 5 dogs and 4 cats and a wild bird that got pushed outta it's nest by a BIG black snake when it was too small to life with out it's mommy...so we're feeding it and getting ready to let it go back into the wild ;)
A NUN! I loved God so much, that I wanted to be a nun---but my aunt said I couldn't because we were Baptist! :( But I still love God so much and want to serve Him! I became a drug and alcohol counselor instead...

I wanted to be an artist or a math teacher (can you imagine - a creative-artist and a logical-mathematician in the same body? Phew!) I ended up in I.T. because the university I attended had everyone studying math take computer courses and I found that I had a knack for programming. Maybe programming allowed me to be "creative" a bit. Who knows?
You can be the hammer, making things happen, or you can be the nail that sits there and gets pummeled over and over. It's time to start being the hammer.

I wanted to be a singer and a professional ice skater. Still love to sing and do it every opportunity I get, but last time I ice skated I fell in a hole and sprained my knee, so that kind of put a damper on my ice skating career. However, I still have fond memories of my ice skating outfit I got for Christmas as a child and dearly loved. It was a short black ice skating dress with white fur on the sleeves and the bottom of the skirt, with matching leotards and Pom poms on my skates. Wish I had a picture...
Willow: I wish there were a "like" option on Spark like their is on FB! I love your statement. It reminded me that I always wanted to be a mom too. For health reasons, it almost didn't happen. I'm so grateful for the child I have.
When I was little I wanted to be a doctor because that is what my sister wanted to do. She did grow up to be a doctor but that was her dream, not mine. As I got older I wanted to write books. I still really want to do that.

When I was little I always wanted to be a nurse, but when I got older I started working with children in the day care. Did that for 20 years then started working in a nursing home as a CNA. Been a CNA at the same nursing home for 16 years.
I wanted to be a Pediatrician. I loved kids and I loved learning about the human body...science!! That was a way I could combine the two. THEN, once I was in college pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biology, I decided that I didn't want to go to school for that long...looking back, it wasn't really that long!
I decided to instead become an accountant (could be done in 4 yrs and get a job). At that time I was still with my high school sweetheart (who later became my husband) and I wanted to get married and start a family. Medical school would have gotten in the way of that. I can't have regrets b/c I love my family and I can't imagine life without them!

my brother and i were gonna become cops together. we spent all our time on missions and investigations and those memories are so cherished. he is 4 yrs older than i am and we were each others best friends. its so sad to see kids just sit in front of tvs, computers and Xboxes. then when my brother got too old and too cool to play with me....i graduated to being a charlies angel...lol. i had always wanted to be in law enforcement. i ended up in the medical field lol.
