I think that I am going to try the Spark Activity Tracker after the holidays. I like that it will upload activity to SP when it is set up and it will let me see how I am doing each day and where I need to increase activity (I sit a lot so one idea is to just get up and walk around the inside of the building daily or something else I might think of). Perhaps when I get better at the activity portion I can migrate to the fitbit that does more but for now I think just something to motivate me to get moving could help. If it doesn't, well, then I am out only half of what the fitbit costs...practical to the end. LOL

No, Tema. I haven't yet. I have a couple of friends here on SP that have recently picked it up so I am talking with them about it. Still trying to decide if I want to get this one for half the price of a fitbit or get the fitbit...still weighing the pro's and cons. LOL

I know that on the new samsung galaxy phones you can have whats called a fitness tracker and it tracks how many steps you take in a given day and keeps track for you the whole time. I think thats what got me motivated to walk more seeing how low my numbers were.

I also already have the Fitbit One, and love it. I can say it does motivate you to do more, so I would think the Spark Activity Tracker would do the same. I also like that the Fitbit One also tracks stairs climbed and for me love the sleep tracker. I also like that I never have to go out and try to find batteries for it either I just hook it up to the computer about once a week to charge it, which is easy to do while I am doing other things on the computer.

Now if I didn't already have the Fitbit One I might seriously give it a try, as I do believe it will help with motivating to do more activity.

I checked out the information on it but I don't plan on getting it. I have a Fitbit One right now, which I love! The Spark Activity Trackers looks like it's modeled after the Fitbit.

There are 3 things that the Fitbit I have does that I really like. It tracks my sleep patterns and has a silent alarm. It really showed me how much actual sleep I was getting, so I was able to improve my sleep. The other is the altimeter, it tracks how many floors I climb. I originally thought this wasn't going to come up all that often since I live and work in single story buildings. What I didn't know is that it tracks the floors when you go on hikes also! So on a steep hike I did, I found out that it was really steep and that we climbed 50 floors. This model also costs double the amount for the Spark tracker.

Just about everything else is the same between the trackers. The app on smart phones is really handy. I imagine it has a bluetooth connection, so you can sync it to your phone when you're on vacation. It does help to motivate you to be a little more active.

Has anyone checked this out yet or plan to get it?
I am curious on what anyone thinks about it since I am considering it. It might motivate me to move some more. LOL
