Normally, I do as much as I can, which has ranged from maybe 5 to 35 minutes a day plus a rest day (so maybe 30 to 210 minutes per week).

This year, I've started a streak (inspired by MostMom1 here on Spark!) of 10 minutes a day. I can add more minutes, of course, but at least 10 are required for the streak. So my weekly minutes will be 70+.

Here is one of the blogs that inspired me to streak:

The Pool is always a great and fun alternative. The water is gentle on the joints and provides a natural resistance. I need to get back to swimming myself. I tried to workout at home and was not successful. Going to the gym seeing others working hard motivates me to do the same.

Oh yeah, strength training...I definitely need to add that in soon.  I have some back, neck and foot problems, so I have to modify and go slow!  That's why the kinect games work so well for me. Right now I have just been concentrating on increasing my activity by rotating my kinect games.  Anything to get myself moving more!  I do love to exercise and am looking forward to doing more asap! Thanks for the info and motivation!

Girl I got to get this weight off me....no I haven't always been this active and now I walk at least a hour a day 5 days a week...that wasn't to hard to build up to it only took about a month to get to a hour a day....I've been walking for about 2 years though....I got to the gym and try new things like the pool which I'm learning to love the water is so relaxing I also about 7 months ago started taking a step class two nights a week.... another thing I do beside workout on my own is go with my son three nights a week he's got a slight weight problem so I have to go when he gets out of school to encourage him to try and get healthy....So I'm trying to make at least 500 minutes a week but for some reason that 50 mins gets away from me but this year that is my goal to add that extra 200 minutes a month.....I also do dvds I like the walking ones the best....as you can tell I'm a walker....I will walk from here to the moon if I could it's so stress free.....it really clears your mind....then finally I have the strength training part which I will admit I'm not so good with that...maybe I can spend that extra 50 mins a week doing strength training.....how are you with strength training....I'm on a mission again this year

How many minutes do I spend exercising?

What it was?...0 minutes

What it is right now?...15-20 minutes/day on most days.

What it will be?...as much as my body can safely handle?!

Wow Tema I am so impressed and inspired by your workout minutes. I would love to get to the point where I could safely do an hour or more per day.  That's just fantastic! You are a great role model!  How long did it take you to work up to that?  Have you always exercised?  What types of exercising do you do?  See you have me all motivated now!

How many exercise minutes do you shoot for each week....

I personally try to get in at least 450 a week....that's usually 1 1/2 hours a day for me...what's your schedule like with exercise
