Not exactly the same thing, but if you like the convenience of prepackaged but prefer low carb, I had an email a few weeks ago from Atkins promoting a new product line of frozen tv dinners. I haven't seen any yet in my local stores, but it could be something to keep in mind. I found it interesting because most of the lean cuisine or whatever type brands always seem to have pasta in them, which often just makes me want to eat more and more. mmmm pasta.

I tried Nutrasystem about 5 years ago and overall, it wasn't that bad - I was working super long hours and, being in the military, my days were unpredictable to the max. Grabbing some color coded packages and packing frozen veg worked better for me then not eating or running to the Burger King up the street. However, it was expensive and I gained 10 pounds.
Their concept is solid but for some reason, the usual micronutrient proportions have never worked for me so, that's probably why I gained weight. I usually need a low carb high fat diet to lose weight so, I probably should have done their plan for diabetics.
I am intrigued by their new program with the shakes but won't be able to spend that kind of money for a while. Customer service was great and they often offered discounts when I told them that the price was getting unwieldy.

Have you ever tried the pre package meal plans like Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig or any of the others...if so how did you like them....did it benefit you at all
