Tema, it's funny but now that I have been doing this for three weeks or so, I'm much more comfortable on the low end of my calorie spectrum! I've been hitting the 1200-1300 range for 4-5 days out of the week and finding that I'm not starving at all. Very interesting. At first I never thought that only 1200 calories could be satisfying, but I'm discovering that it really, truly is (if you are eating the right things).

Hi Pixie I'm totally the opposite when it comes to getting my calories in...I'm always on the low end and rarely will I go to the high end...but even on the low end I'm not ravenous about it I've learned a while ago to eat to live and not to live to eat and that thinking has really helped me a lot so I get a lot of protein in everyday....and it keeps me fuller longer along with my water

If You're tired or starting over stop giving up

Thank you Stephen, that's a good way to look at it. I'm allowing myself to stay sane and bring it!

Nothing wrong at all being in the upper range. You know yourself better than anyone. Besides, the the upper range helps sanity and workout intensity, IMHO.

If you bring forth that which is within you, that which is within you will save you. If you do not bring forth that which is within you, that which you do not bring forth will destroy you.

Whenever I am trying to reduce, I always stick to the high end of whatever calorie range is recommended to me. I cannot, I repeat, cannot live on 1200 calories. I have tried this before and it has turned me into an evil monster.

I only bring this up because Spark has recommended 1200-1550 calories for me to start with. 1550 is fine. 1200 is basically asking me to have a violent meltdown. Anyone else like this?
