Yes, an excellent one by an old timer who must be in his 90s now in California. "Let Your Spirit Soar" by C.S. Lovett. You have to order it from Personal Chiristianity online.
He is one of the anonymous contributors of the Amplified version of the bible. Did any of you know that it was created by anonymous researchers? An excellent old semi-paraphrase, and my favourite version.

One I enjoy is Girlfriends in God through Biblegatway.com. Their devotions are just like listening to friends talking, issues that are similar to mine with a biblical answer or at least guidance. It gets the day started in the right direction.
My favorite magazine is Guideposts a Norman Vincent Peale Publication. There is so much hope there regarding the good things people have done for themselves and others. This little magazine always inspires me to be a better Christian and sometimes a particular story inspires me to help make life better for others. It is a feel good type of magazine and I look forward to getting my copy every month. I love the quotes in it I also have their daily devotional book which starts my day out on the right "note". I also read my Bible and always learn something new and inspiring from it. It gives me lots of "food" for thought.

I hear a half dozen (or more) pulpit messages over the course of the week and am responsible for devotion for my Tuesday Mission Group. I am usually able to find at least one bible verse from the messages I've heard that really speaks to me and our missions work. Once I have the passage, I go to Google and key in, "John 15:5 Devotional" and voila, I get a nice array of devotions. I went with the one I found at www.heartlight.org/wjd/john/1004-wj d.h tml For further study on the same verse, I've been known to go to: bible.cc/john/15-5.htm
For over a year now, I subscribe daily to scripture from biblegateway.com and also receive Charles Spurgeon's daily devotional (cringing a bit when I get too much of the more thee and thou language.) The resources available to us are incredible. Praise God that we can use this technology to Glorify Him!

I have not always been a reader of devotionals, but just lately I have turned back to them. One I have always liked is Our Daily Bread. Another is Pursuit of His Presence. They both help me to focus on God and His Word and away from this world.
What is your favorite?
