I color my hair and have found L'oreal's sulfate free shampoo to be AMAZING with keeping my color vibrant (I use a lot of reds and then some funky semi-perm colors as well). I found that a lot of shampoos advertise sulfate free, but if you look at the ingredients, THEY CONTAIN SULFATES! Not sure how that one works.... But L'oreal's does NOT contain sulfates and I love it!

Is it hard to get the oil out? I remember using something oily on my hair in high school (many, many years ago) and it took 2 days and 4 washings to get out. On the plus side, my hair looked great when it was finally grease free.

I use suave. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that just goes down the drain, especially shampoo. Very few of them are harsh any more & since shampoo really doesn't do anything but clean your hair, why spend tons of money? When I really want to deep condition my hair, I use olive, almond or grapeseed oils. A good secret with conditioner, is to comb it thru your hair, then leave it on a couple minutes, this has really helped my use less!
