I know this thread is a bit old, but I thought I'd share information on a set of curlers I recently purchased.

They are curlformers. My hair is getting a bit over processed with coloring and styling. I wanted to try overnight curlers that would cause less damage. I decided to try out the curlformers and have really liked them. They take a bit of time to put them on, but I'm getting faster with each use.

The curls can be styled left tight or brushed out to waves. They add fullness too. I really like them and thought I'd share.

My hair was dry altho I did lightly spritz water on it, and yes the roll did "squish" during the night as I slept on them, but I didnt wake with a headache like I'd normally have from regular curlers, and the curls I ended up with seemed more natural, and my hair didn't seem to have the frizzies like I also normally get.

Really Nancy? Huh! Never thought about that! I will have to give it a whirl. The roll didn't bent at all? Was your hair wet or dry?

Not sure if this will be much help, but completely as an "in a pinch" moment when I had a headache and couldn't stand the thought of laying on any curlers while I slept....I happened to be changing the toilet paper roll. Guess what?? I grabbed some bobby pins and used the toilet paper roll as a curler just to see how it worked. I ended up cutting the roll in half, and then dug the empty paper towels rolls out of the recycle box, cut those in 3 sections and voila...had just enough to wrap my long hair around each section, bobby pin them securely and actually sleep on them with no problem!

Next day, I had some nice loose long curls.

I have been using (and burning myself) a curling iron for almost a month now and was thinking of trying curlers? Any suggestions on brand and type? I have long fine hair and I like the Kim Kardashian look.
