I'm thinking about the June/July challenge and tracking fitness minutes on Spark but not following it daily. Love to check in once in a while with some others. Been mixing up my fitness - doing a little boot camp (with some Insanity workout thrown in the mix to keep things interesting) quite a lot of walking and a little swimming when it's too hot and muggy to do anything else.

We're in that last sprint to the end of the school year so I'm not doing exceptionally well in self-care but at least this challenge is making me think about doing things for myself. I'm doing pretty well at remembering the sunscreen and water and if I'm not doing my regular exercises I've been attempting to squeeze in some squats and pushups before bed.
June 13 3.1 miles 55 min water: 2 glasses sunscreen: walked really early before these severe storms we're supposed to get today so no...
June 12 Raked ball field for 30 mins (field was playable - hooray!) water: 4 glasses sunscreen and hat: yes (thankfully!)
June 11: Raked ball field for 2 hours (daughter's class party playing kickball on June 12 and field was combination of pond and mud pit) water: yes? sunscreen: oops.... bonus: totally giving myself props for saving the kickball and baseball for the class party!
June 10: 60 min zumba water: 4 glasse sunscreen; can't remember but not burnt so probably
June 9: squats & pushups water: no clue....

June 1st - was dealing with my awful sunburn so I didn't do too much physically, but I did drink 6 glasses of water and stayed out of the sun completely! ;)
June 2nd - We had this amazing rainstorm and I ran and played in it with the kiddos. I drank 6 glasses of water again! I want to get to 8.
June 3rd - Went to the park and had a nice 3 mile nature walk. Drank 4 glasses :P
June 4th - Walked around Baltimore for a few hours with SUNSCREEN! Drank 5 glasses of water.
June 5th - Another park walk, probably only a mile. Drank 6 glasses. No sunscreen because I had on protective clothing
My plan today is to get a little more active. I've been focusing a lot on my mental health and that's been going marvelously well so I think I can shift gears a little bit and do some squats and cardio :)
Hi everyone, I'm new to the team here & started Monday with the bikini challenge here on sparkpeople. So I feel muscles where I never knew existed. It's for 6 weeks I think & you go from beginner to advance. Drank 8-9 cups of water, rainy here in Florida so no need for sunscreen or hat, people will look at me funny. Good luck to everybody

Glad you will join me Alliecat! I'm off to a bit of a slow start but that's ok. June 4 Activity: yoga Water: 4 glasses Sunscreen and Hat: yes Bonus: Helped turn several mudpits back into a usable baseball field with the help of a rake so my son's team could lose their playoff game. Great exercise though.
June 3 Activity: nothing (boo) Water: 4 glasses Sunscreen and Hat: raining and didn't need in evening. Bonus:
June 2 Activity: parked in far parking lot and walked to activity Water: 3 glasses Sunscreen and Hat: yes Bonus: took my daughters and we joined my husband and son for a kids fishing tournament at a local park - a little walking and we were at least outside.
June 1 Activity: parked 2/10 miles away from my meeting and walked (not much but oh well) played 10 mins with kids Water: 2 glasses (could be better) Sunscreen and Hat: yes Bonus: basketball with kids - did 5 mins of 1-on-1 with each of my two younger kids.

Hi Fabulous Ladies - thought I'd step up and create a new challenge for us for the beginning of Summer. I want us all to be healthy and have fun with our summer routines. The challenge is to be active every day (I don't care how long you're out there - just do something!) So we stay hydrated I'd love for each of us to set a water goal and report. Wear your sunscreen and hat when you are out! Bonus points if you try something new or do something fun (new exercise, healthy recipe - report what you're trying/doing and maybe the rest of us will be inspired!) Check in every so often with a new post so we get notifications. (I've noticed that when we go back and edit old posts it's hard to know when each of us are checking in so I'm hoping lots of new posts will generate enthusiasm for our summer!)
Here's an example of how I envision us reporting June # activity: (walk, run, play, swim, etc...) x minutes water: x cups sunscreen & hat: yes/no bonus: (tried new exercise/activity, link to a new recipe, get creative - and be sure let us know what you thought!)
