Way to go, Maryoh!

I finished it all out well. I did a lot of exploring and gardening for exercise. I feel very happy and healthy :) I had a fabulous Mother's Day! I've been working a lot more on the internal stuff as well: finally starting school and therapy, which is all part of the process, got to the dentist, taking care of myself AND the kids. It's been a great few weeks!

Better this week - got out and walked almost every day and made sure to get my water in - although I'm still feeling a little dehydrated so maybe I need to push a little more fluids (sigh)
Took a couple of days off this week - rainy, rainy, rainy, and I'm just not hard-core enough to go out and walk in the rain.

water every day!
May 8 90 min yoga
May 7 ntr
May 6 ntr
May 5 45 min walk
May 4 Camping with my daughter - no "formal" excercise but plenty of activity
May 3 45 min walk
May 2 45 min walk

I will update my tracker below soon! Things are still Crazy here.... please family members... stop getting super sick.

Miss ya all!

Complete and utter failure to exercise or drink water in the last week or so..... Trying to get life back under control here but self-care has slipped while I've been taking care of other problems. (All first-world problems so I should consider myself lucky!) Will figure it out and get back on the program soon.

Hey all... Sorry for being MIA. Life has been kicking me in the butt lately. But trust that I read all your posts and CHEER! Cause you're all so amazing.

LOL I know just how you feel about the H2O consumption, as soon as I cut back or miss a day. BLAMO one inch added to my gut and hips. Minimum... gah. (Downs another glass). But I've still been working hard at the weight loss... even if the life thingy isn't so great lately.

Hubs took me out for a MUCH needed R&R dinner on saturday... With.No.Cell.Phones. *gasp!
I know... crazy right? We spent the whole night together just talking and sipping wine and eating nice food and not focused on anything but us...

And guess what? The world didn't end, everything stayed the same... very cool.

Anyways, it helped me cope with all our bad news lately so I thought I'd come spread some positive vibes around with my Spark friends! :) Keep it up folks!

Hey everyone! Still alive over here :) I spent the past two weeks hauling leaves and sticks around for composting and controlled burning. We built our own compost bin. I cut down a tree (not a HUGE one, mind you) with a handsaw. I've been pruning and planting. I take my dog on walks. I've been active, but admittedly less active than before and my gut and hips swell immediately when I don't take in as much water as I should. It's freakin' annoying. SOOOOooooo... drinking my water and getting ready for my nieces to come out and celebrate with me before the younger one gets hitched. They picked my house :) I'm so honored! There will be a lot of walking around downtown DC and the fairgrounds for the Celtic Festival. Hooray!! And I will be given my dress... time to see if my 2 weeks of slacking screwed me over. Thankfully, I have until the 18th to fit into it and I know how to slim back down quickly... discipline and WATER. lol

Looks like you all are plugging away beautifully. Way to go on reaching another goal, Kalika!! MaryOH you're doing so well!! Keep up the good work everyone :) :)

Update - hard getting back to my routine this week. Here's what I've managed

April 19 2.5 mile walk 45 min yes water
April 18 1.2 mile walk 20 min yes water
April 17 90 minutes yoga yes water
April 16 accidentally took a 4 hour nap and accomplished nothing - no exercise - not enough water. (on the plus side I'm starting to catch up from the barely sleeping on the two overnight bus rides I took with my daughter's high school band.)

Disney chaperoning wasn't hard. I was chaperoning teenagers so we turned them loose in the park and told them to meet us back at the bus when it was time to go and call us if you need us. The other chaperones and I got to pretty much do what we wanted so we rode lots of rides.

Taxes yuck! I gave up on mine and filed an extension. I did finish my daughter's taxes. She was considered self employed so a little challenge figuring out the c and se forms.

Here's an update.
April 15 60 min zumba yes water
April 14 very long bus ride no exercise not enough water either.
April 13 lots of walking yes water
April 12 lots of walking yes water
April 11 lots of walking yes water
April 10 2.4 miles 45 min yes water
April 9 90 min yoga, 2.4 miles 40 minutes, yes water

I have no idea how to report activity for the past few days. Went to drop off a textbook and dinner for my daughter's 4 day bus trip to Orlando on Wednesday and was asked to run home and pack a bag to go with them as they were short a chaperone. So, 40 minutes later I was on a bus on the way to Disney World (where I did a lot of walking!) Home now and maybe I'll figure it all out but not right now as I have to do something about our taxes!

Keep pushing, we're half way through April!

ps and at least I assume for most of you it didn't snow today... yes? Let me know if anyone else was shoveling the white stuff!

I'm so sorry about your Beagle!
They are terrible for escaping (my best friends gets out once or twice a week and we're not even sure how as there is no hole bigger then a golf ball in the fence).
It is unbelieveably sad to lose a dog, especially like that, but don't feel guilty... you did everything you could... keep coping and know we're all thinking of you.

Time for an update again. The 6th I spent all day long digging up our hard clay dirt front yard with my 8yr old and AGAIN fixing my fence (which I didn't do in time, apparently). Then, at the end of the day unfortunately our poor beagle was hit by a car and killed after escaping the fence again. I finally don't feel guilty about it today.

So... yesterday I dug a grave and cried a lot and we buried our boy. I also took our other dog for a 1.8 mile jog.

Today I went on another 1.8 mile jog with our dog and am again working in the yard, shoveling and sifting. Exercise sure helps with sadness. We're all coping and dealing and healing. Doing well.

Oh and I've been doing really well with water consumption now that the weather is warm and water is enticing.

Way to go TiggerPlus! Glad to have you on board.

Well folks, even with my cold I had a good weekend. I've updated my last post with my daily activities. I forgot to track H2O all weekend, but I know I filled my water bottle three or four times so that means at least 9 cups... Will do better during the week! :)

I'm in, because I, apparently, need more than that 20 day challenge. *sighs*

Goals for Feel Fabulous For Mother's Day Challenge are, 30 minutes of average daily activity, consume 6 - 8 glasses of water a day, (add personal goals here).

My goals are to get in 4 days of exercise a week and continue to work on my plank a day challenge. I, also, will continue to drink a bottle of water at lunch, dinner, and whenever I'm thirsty. My water bottles are a 24oz Camelback or a 17oz Kleen Kanteen. It keeps me pretty, well hydrated.

Realistically I know that I will probably miss some days of exercise but if my GOAL is to get out there every day then at least I schedule it in every day. It's so easy for me to tell myself I will do it tomorrow! And I really should be getting in 4 glasses of water in addition to my other drinks so that will be my goal!

What a great workout. When I was back home on Sunday we got about a foot of snow and my Mom isn't as young as she once was so I offered to shovel (really for the first time in about five years). WOW! Was my back ever toasted after that... I can't wait to move back and be able to shovel snow for half the year as my activity. It made me realize just what a different life I lead in the big city and how little physical activity is just simply worked into my day.

My goals are to do 30 minutes of exercise every day without skipping days. 4 glasses water in addition to my other beverages (if I do much more I will not be able to leave the house to exercise because I would be too far away from a bathroom!) I will also pay attention to what I am eating but don't have any specific goals there.

Yesterday we spent all day outside tearing up our yard to start gardening and landscaping... my hammies, glutes, abs, shoulders and back are KILLING ME from shoveling and pulling. Then it rained lol. I think I'm going to stretch a lot, drink water, take a leisurely walk, and relax a bit today. Then I plan to get right back at it when everything dries out a bit. I love yard work! It's a lot of exercise without being boring and has the added bonus of accomplishing something other than general body hotness and feeling-goodery.

Good For You MaryOh!

I'm very much the same... totally slacked the whole time I was back home. And ate WAY to much. Now I need to loose these pounds before my cruise with my Mom or I'll be stuck in a 1 piece swimsuit! (well I'll likely still only wear the one piece but... you know!)
