I froze some of my basil from the garden last summer. Blended it in my Vitamix with a small bit of oil then put into ice cube trays to freeze. Later putting the little cubes into a ziplock. I did the same with cilantro but used water. It worked well for me.
Has anyone had any success with freezing or drying herbs? I have a bunch of parsley and cilantro that I won't be able to use up before it starts going bad. I haven't tried any method of salvaging intentionally. I did have some Thyme dry up in the fridge on it's own but it wasn't very flavorful when I tried to use it.
