I dry roma tomato slices with salt and pepper and apple slices with cinnamon and sugar. I've also made kale chips with lemon and salt.

I've done apple slices (kids ate them as snacks) and have dried some basil and catnip.

Thanks for the ideas, I would never have thought of radishes. I guess any fruit or veggie in season is worth trying.

My son makes his own jerky and does all kinds of fruit. If you have a dog, you can make jerky for them too.

I do leaf chips like kale, collards, broccoli. This week did some radish slices. I also use it for incubating yoghurt and raising bread. Flax crackers. I haven't had the dehydrator that long so I'm also finding my way with it. It's not fruit season yet so I'll have to see what's available come summer. Maybe apricots.

anyone use a food dehydrator? I'm trying tomatoes. What foods do you dry and how do you use them?
