I finished 6 out of 7 days for last week's 7 day shake up. This week the 7 day challenge is to do 30 tricep dips per day for the next 7 days. Although it is not part of the challenge I am going to try to get 30 squats per day in for three of the 7 days in addition to the tricep dips. My sore glutes showed me just how out of shape I have become.

I completed day 1 of my 7 day shakeup and my b@## hurts! I guess that means I really need those squats. Day 2 is on track but I am not finished yet.

Update: Finished Day 2 but my glutes are cursing the idiot who came up with this idea.

Day 3: completed without enthusisam
Day 4; completed. My glutes are finally feeling a bit normal.
Day 5: Haven't yet started, better get with it.
Day 6: Done- this is getting easier.

Hi Sparklers, Duffydyer started the concept of the seven day shake-up several years ago. The premise is that we have a new 7 day challenge each week. I think it is a great idea so we will start a new Seven Day Shake-up each Monday.

Our first week's challenge is to do 30 squats a day! If it seems like a lot for you, break it into the morning and evening. If it seems too little, feel free to add some more!

I am tired of burpees so lets try a new shakeup. I challenge everyone to get in 30 squats throughout the day in sets of 10. I love squats cause they can be done anywhere, even a bathroom stall. You burpee lovers, feel free to keep up with them.

Seven day shake up; Sat 28st -3rd June

Moving from May to June

This week trying a new exercise for me.

THE BURPEE.
Stand straight, bend knees and put hands on the floor, Kick legs back until you are in a pressup position, then bring knees back in and stand up leaping in the air. start with 10 then work up to 20 the idea is to do them as quickly as possible. Plenty examples and variations on you tube

On alternate days
Just jog in place. 2-3 mins at a time throughout the day, just keep moving.

Seven day shake up; Week 3 Sat 21st - 27th May

Mean it in May
This month try starting each day with a morning stretch.

Add in alternate days of

Donkey kicks. Go for 20 x2.
Get down on all fours and lower body so that forearms are supported by upper body. Keeping right knee bent, slowly lift that leg behind you so that foot raises towards the ceiling. Return to start and repeat for 20 then change legs.

Sit ups go for 20 x2 nice and slow with control. Really feel those abs.

MEAN IT IN MAY.

Posting a day early as I am on holiday

Seven day shake up; Week 3 Sat 14th - 20th May

Mean it in May
This month try starting each day with a morning stretch.

Add in alternate days of

Squats, any kind. Go for 30. add hand weights for some or try single legs squat .

Tricep dips go for 30 nice and slow concentrate on the action.


I will not be on lie but will be doing them every day
MEAN IT IN MAY.

I didn't check until late last night so I'm doubling up today.

Calf raises -30 emoticon
Pendulum-3x10 modified( bent knees instead of straight up) emoticon

That pendulum exercise is tough. I was hurting by the end of 2nd set and almost crying by the end of the 3rd set but it was a good hurt. : )

Lie on back, arms in T, legs straight up. Slowly lower legs several inches to the left without touching the floor, return to start, repeat to right. = 1 rep
