I found a terrific fast food type meal for those non-cookers out there. Schwan's sells a spicy chicken fillet with 140 C. I baked it for 20 minutes, then toasted an orowheat sandwich thin. I mixed 1 Tbs miracle whip light with 1 tsp blue cheese and a couple of shakes of Franks red hot sauce. I put the sauce on my sandwich thin with a generous handful of spinach leaves added my chicken. Yum, I served it with a side of baby carrots and a big dill pickle spear. Easily within my calories for the evening.

carrots, and squeeze lemon juice on them. Then sprinkle a little pepper and IF you want, the tiniest sprinkle of low-sodium table salt.

I am enjoying the SP 15 minute chili. I have made it a couple of times. It tastes great and is perfect for this time of year to warm me up. I put my homemade green salsa (hot) in it to spice it up.
Just be you, it's enough.

I made it last night for dinner. It says that it serves 12, but I cut it into 8 pieces. Each piece is about 300 calories. Very good and very filling. I served it with a side of broccoli, 1/2 cup of cooked pasta, and a slice of Italian bread. The whole meal was just over 500 calories.

One of my go to dinner menus:
4-5 oz. chicken breast 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce 2 c. veggies (usually green beans, broccoli & cauliflower) 1 small sweet potato Pat of unsalted whipped butter
Because I had my wisdom teeth out a couple of weeks ago, smoothies have been my go-to breakfast (got tired of plain yogurt and mashing bananas til my kids thought I was eating baby food! LOL) I've been getting creative- spinach, plain yogurt, and a banana with different kinds of frozen fruit. Sometimes I mix in some oatmeal, ground flax, and/or wheat germ.
I am finally getting to a point where I can eat mostly normal food- don't have to puree everything anymore!

Breakfast is usually rolled oats with some sort of protein (either an egg or turkey sausage)
I have 1 ounce of almonds every day for my morning snack. This combined with my breakfast keeps me well-satisfied until lunch.
My favorite snack is stove-popped popcorn. It tastes so much better than the microwavable kind and it is SO much better for you! 1 cup has 55 calories
