I love to see all the efforts taking place here! I found I can not have citric acid found in many fruits and vegetables. I found that my body’s response eating gluten is not an allergy but intolerance. I found my body does not approve of sulfites of preservatives and in lots of normally sound wise whole organic fresh fruits and vegetables. This is why I see a Doctor of Nutrition. May I suggest this sound solution to guide me through supplement and understand and avoid the pitfalls of avoidance dieting? Hunger leads to binging on the wrong stuff. Malnutrition leads to allergies, pain, inflammation and disease. Eat right-feel your best; see a certified Doctor of Nutrition. I eat 5-9 daily with a still large selection and love the foods that love me back. emoticon

Yesterday I shared a big green smoothie -- my half was 1.5 cups fresh spinach, 1 big celery stalk, half a granny smith apple, half a huge banana and 1/4 cup of blueberries.

I also had another half cup of blackberries/raspberries mixed on yogurt.

9 baby carrots.

And 1/6 of a portion of mixed half cup corn, half cup green bell pepper, whole sliced onion and 1/3 cup of chopped cilantro.

Oh and two cups of mixed herb salad.

My solution to adding more…
My juicer.
I often start with apples and or pineapples to sweeten up the base. Then the odd bitter with high antioxidants will go in, then the common fresh veggies of juicy structure go into a 3-10 variety mixed set. I eat 1-2 fiber veggies at another meal.

Today I had a smoothie w/ a full banana, 1/2 cup berries plus milk & protein powder. Had an apple as a snack & a salad w/my mushroom ravioli for dinner & I sauteed extra mushrooms to go on top. Getting there, but not quite there yet.

I have other struggles, but this isn't one of them. I usually have more than five servings of fruits/veggies a day.

If you are having trouble getting them all in, a smoothie might be a good option. My morning smoothie has 3-4 fruit/veggie servings.

I have had dried figs, raspberries, mixed greens, tomatoes and carrots today. Tonight's dinner will also be a salad or unwich, so more vegetables
