I was given my activelink - I too don't feel we should have to a pay an additional amount - especially since they don't have anything tied in to the meetings with it.

I like it but when I do certain activities, it's not accurate - especially when walking & beach combing - downloaded Map My Walk and love it! That in conjunction w/active link work much better for me.

If you don't mind the additional costs - try it - it's pretty good and motivating.

I started with the activelink but have switched to the fitbit. I enjoy the competiveness that is brings with fellow fitbit friends.

You can call me MsMousiemouse or you can call me Shelley but don't call me a quitter.

I use ActiveLink as well as my Fitbit every day. I feel I get different information from each. I love the Fitbit for the steps, display, etc. I love the AL because it takes the guesswork out of activity points. I do Simply Filling and do use my APs so I wanted to be sure I wasn't overestimating them. I was, too, on days when I would take a long walk but not do much else. AL keeps me moving all day. The most APs I've gotten since AL is 7. I did a long walk that day and did move around a lot besides that. Prior to AL I would have worn my heart rate monitor (can you tell I love gadgets?!) and I know that walk gives me anywhere from 750-950 calories burned, depending on me. Even being conservative and dividing the calories burned by 10 instead of 8 would have had me giving myself more than 7 just for the walk.

No, I objected to the extra monthly fee. I bought a fitbit but am having trouble syncing it to the computer. At least I can still read the steps, etc on the device. The activelink must have etools to work.

I just finished my assessment week. I haven't logged in yet to complete it. I am looking forward to this week and to see what my goals are.

I am in day 3 of my assessment. So far- so good. The only thing I don't like is that I can't access activity points in my tracker. I went for a nice brisk walk yesterday and can't add it - so no activity points until the assessment period is done.

Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't, I give myself reasons why I can
