Actually, ONEKIDSMOM, that thought occurred to me earlier this week. However, they are now 30 miles from the finish so I don't think they'll need any help.

You guys did great on this race; be sure to get me your points and weight today so that I can wrap up this challenge and get on with the next one.

I did a 60 mins. step aerobics this morning before having lunch with friends. I was able to enjoy the food without over eating! It was a great since of accomplishment to come home not feeling stuffed!!

Two days worth of workouts. Yesterday did a 60 min workout at the gym before work. Today I went really hard because I knew I would be exposed to a lot of food today. My fiance and I went to the gym and I did 30 min on the stairstepper, 30 min walk/jog intervals on the treadmill, ab and medicine ball work and then strength training on my shoulders. I immediately left and picked up my sister and we walked over an hour at Lake Candlewood. I had burrned 2074 calories by noon! (from midnight to noon).

Whew. I have been keeping busy, but suck at keeping track of my food; I eat a lot of things not saved into the system. I only tracked 2 days. You never know where running will take you. I did my first 5K with my oldest grandson in Aug 2009. By spring I did my first 10K and in fall of 2010 I ran my first half-marathon in 2:47. I guess I got the running bug rather quickly. It is amazing what you can do once you get started on something.

Barb - glad you're enjoying FL. We got our feet wet on the Atlantic side of FL the first part of Nov. It was awesome!

I've been sick for several days so I've missed my workouts. Today I did Bodypump class. It felt great!

I have not run a half marathon nor do I think I ever will. Well, I won't say never but I definitely need to get into better shape. The most I have done in a race is 5 miles and it took me an hour so 13 would take me like 2:45.

And today, I put my feet in the Gulf of Mexico with Debra0818, and watched the waves wash over my bare feet. Only question now is whether I'll get back to Nebraska in time for Thanksgiving... but I have a Florida Pink skintone that used to make me jealous when someone else would come back to work with it.

As promised, this was the Women's Half Marathon in St. Petersburg, FL. What a trip! Would you believe we got to run on the Astroturf of Tropicana Baseball field? And on the pier? Through downtown? Amazing, amazing run, with a PR.

Last night I did my first Spin Class; 10-12 miles easily. My ass hurts so badly, so badly. I tried to stand up and ride when everyone else did... I did it 1 time for 10 seconds and with my hip injury, it just hurt too much... so I sat the whole time and man does my rear hurt. I dare say I will never do that again. I also rode a recumbant bike and rode another 2.3 miles. I also ran up 10 flights of stairs.

Wow- you are doing Trek up the Tower??? I commend you because I get winded doing the 4 flights of stairs at my office (well it may be 8 flights- I dont really know what a flight is I just now I have to go from the basement to third floor and there are two sets of stairs between each floor). Anyway, good for you. That is exciting!

I ate 5 servings of fruits and veggies 6 out of 7 days last week... YAY! That is something I am pretty good at. Smoothies, smoothies, smoothies... I fear I did not contact anyone last week. My daughter and husband sick with the flu, what a nightmare!!!!!!!!!! I was able to get in some serious walking, roughly 30 minutes, and 3 different times I spend 15 minutes stretching and jumping jacks and lunges. Yay! I finally have my living room back in order so tonight I am going to do some pilates or yoga (haven't decided). Don't give up on me! I am also doing Trek up the Tower in February. I would love to make this challenge a year round one, just because it is fun... and for me it has been slow going...

Sorry I haven't been checking in for the last week. I was very busy and hardly at home because of the high school musical perforamances. Sat. was our final performance of Grease. The students were AWESOME. However, it does fell good to be done with it. This week DH and I are taking a break in Florida.

Went to Offut with my fiance and uncle and put in a long workout. Ran the track twice to get my blood flowing. Did ab work and then strength training. Ran the track again to get my heart rate up and then did a litttle boxing on the punching bag. Tried TRX ab work but it is a little advanced for me. Finished off with another running lap around the track.

I like this weeks challenge of 5 servings of veggies because I really struggle in this area. I think i may be juicing this week to make sure I get them in.

That 100 minutes represents walking TO the Making Strides for Breast Cancer venue, walking the walk, and then walking HOME from the venue. I honestly think I got home faster by walking than I would have should I have driven there! What a mob. Tonight I really stepped it up on the recumbent bike at Prairie Life. My heart rate was over 160 and even topped 170 for a good chunk of my workout. I biked 10 miles!!!!!!!!!!! 10 miles in 1 hour.... YAY!!!!!!! I also did a ridiculous amount of walking today. Stairs stairs stairs. I added 5 minutes for that. I did at least 5 minutes worth of stairs today. :-)

@ONEKIDSMOM Walking breaks at work are perfect for those tired days or even weeks (and in my case YEARS) LOL!!

I'm back!! I'm going to the gym now!! FINALLY!! So Proud!!

On Monday I went to the gym. I walked 1 mile in 15 minutes on the tredmill. I biked 4.2 miles at multiple speed intervals ranging from 9.75 to 12.5 mph in 75 minutes. I also did the "gazelle type stairstepper thingy" for all of 5 minutes. UGH! LOL! That sucked.

This is yesterday and today, combined. Yesterday was a "light" day, just two ten minute break walks, as I had the blood bank donation, and they don't want you being strenuous. But this morning I was back on the treadmill, and taking those stress-buster walks, and added a little bit of stretching.

While running, I passed a small heard of younger, middle-school boys climbing a gigantic autumn tree. The boy highest in the tree stood up tall with his chest out and proclaimed, "Dudes, we're men now!" It was a lovely moment ^.^

Putting in a few more workouts while I can because of traveling we're doing this weekend.
Low aerobics this morning and Bodypump class this afternoon.

I was able to get a couple of workouts in today. Did a 30 min. aerobic DVD this morning to get myself going. This afternoon, during a longer work break, I enjoyed getting outside and doing some running!!

Today's efforts include 50 minutes on the treadmill (4.64 miles), 30 minutes worth of stress-buster break walks, and 5 minutes of stretching.
