Hi Ladies.
It was a fairly good day. I went to the pool this morning. I got 60 Birthday cards created-saved-and printed btwn yesturday and today. I just have to fold them - I don't buy scored paper, which would make the folding a lot easier, cuz it is to pricey. I watched a movie and did 60 minutes worth of stepping.
They didn't pick up my recycling today. No idea why not, then someone said it was because I had the container sitting the wrong way.. I didn't know there was a right n wrong way.

I ordered some more protein bars, but that might of been a mistake with as hot as it has been. The bars will be mush by the time they get here

I am off to do something constructive. Toooodles. MA

Hassle was exactly what it was- I could not leave the house at all it was so bad- Cheryl Williamson is the one who told me about the procedure because she had it done...not sure if she had the NovaSure procedure or if it was something different but I opted to do it in the doctor office although 90% of people have it done in the hospital- I figured it is a 90 second procedure I could handle the pain for that long and mine only took 55 seconds and no problems- very little cramping was it. Not more than pap test.

I was going through a dozen pads a day and tampons along with them and having periods lasting 7-15 days so I am so blessed that this worked for me.

Glad I'm not you Judy! I started at 13 and will be 45 in November. Just had mild PMS, but it did get worse as I got older and after each child. I will be glad when I am done mainly because it is just such a hassle.

Char- you could be in my shoes-I started at 11 and I am 54 and still not in menopause but my periods were so badly severe that I had what is called a NovaSure procedure done a year ago July and they say you will either stop completely or just so light it isn't bad. I spotted the first month and have had nothing since. It was the best thing I ever did but I will have blood test each year to check my TSH levels to know when I actually go into menopause.

MA: Hope you're feeling better! Maybe you just needed to eat something, especially if you have been really low calorie the past few days.

Did better today with food. In range and very little sugar! Probably had a week's worth yesterday. DH and I took a slow walk today so not to irritate his hurt knee but we did go almost 2 miles. Then I did another 1.2 miles (14 min) on the elliptical. Made up for not doing anything yesterday.

Just as I thought, test was negative (although I guess it could be a false negative. They are only 99% accurate...LOL). At times I really hate my mom! She started menstruating at 16 (I think), and stopped at 39 and never had PMS nor menopausal symptoms!

Judy: She hasn't put the STOP Team on public yet.

I went to coffee clatch this morning - I skipped the sweet roll - not sure if I have ever done that before. I went in the pool after but only did 50 min rather than 90. I felt woosie and nauseated for some reason. I layed down for a bit when I got home, but was thinking about all the stuff I had to get done. I thought well I could at least get the greeting cards done for the social and sports club. Well, I couldn't find any of the ones I had done up and only have to "click" and print. I spent quite a bit of time searching for them - panicking - STUPID FRIGGIN COMPUTERS!!!. Well, I started to create a whole new set, but got bored with that after about 6 cards. So I came to SP and have been here doing stuff for starting the new BLC and things aren't exactly going the way I want them to go there either.

HaHA! I am thinking it is 5'Oclock somewhere - Sure enough here. Dang I need a drink or two or three, but my stomach is so woooooosie I don't dare drink anything - alcohol anyway.
What happen to lunch time? Think I will go check to see whats to eat, then come back and try to get a few more cards done.

Hi Me Ladies.

As you might of noticed I made up a FB invite to send Birthday Cards to my friend Polly Ramer. She will be 100 July 3rd. I did ask the nursing home, if there were any plans for her 100th BD. They said her church is planning something but not on her BD, so I thought that might be good enough, but then the gal said - Oh, it would be soooo nice of you to plan something on her BD - She said the activity room was available for the afternoon - She kind of planned it for me, but indicated she wouldn't be there, so preceeded to show me where everything was - coffee pot - the dishes - etc. Polly is disappointed her neice won't be comming for her Birthday. I don't mind doing it - She is a quite a spunky and independent lady.

I do miss the ladies at the SparkTeam. I probably will stick my head back in, but not sure how active I can be with going to MN and all. I have lots to get done here, but can't seem to get my bones in motion to be domestic. I might have to resort to a cleaning lady - HA!! Like I got money to do that.

Judy: I would feel better, if you would go back with me. Just come in and weigh on Mondays.

So far I like the BLC Lime Team, but then we are just getting started I like the Will-a-bees too. But it seems I don't get time to post there to often. My eyes are startin to slam shut, so say it is time to go to bed.

Very upset with myself right now. Here I've done so well this week and lost 1.5 lbs yet I just went on a sugar binge. Feel sick to my stomach. Over on calories for the day. I think I'm just nervous about TOM. That means I should be over this tomorrow morning once I know one way or another.

Thanks Char but I am just too busy right now to join any challenges...maybe after summer.

I am loving having my meals all set by using the weight watchers meals but the problem with them is they are so full of sodium- I think for next week I will check a different brand and see if they are lower in sodium like the healthy choice ones.

I feel bad that I didn't make it to see my sister today but my throat was sore and thought she don't need that on top of taking her chemo and everything else.

MA: I figured you'd get a laugh at the "running around naked" part of my msg. Have you check with the nursing home for a cake for the birthday party? Maybe not free but at a low cost? You'd think the nursing home would want to celebrate her 100th birthday too.

Judy: Hope your sister is doing better. And it is not just my age that is helping me, it is running around at the restaurant all day long waiting tables, too.

Official weigh-in for this week is 188.4. That's down 1.6 from last Monday but still up 1 lb from the previous Monday.

I was going to wait until Wednesday to see if TOM started or not and then get a preg. test if needed just to make sure it is perimenopause and not something else but gave in a got one today. I figure I need to know for sure so we know what to do at the restaurant with hiring employees. The last two times I skipped I went about 6 weeks between periods.

If either of you want to join STOP again, our next challenge start Monday. Janice said she is making the team open to the public for a week to try and get new members before the challenge starts.

Just got back from Nursing Home and Library. We had a good visit at the nursing home. I liked all the DVD's I got from the library last week - well one was just ok but I watched it.

I stopped at Publix's and they gave me some form to fill out to send to their Corporate office (four weeks in advance) so I guess thats a NO on donating the Birthday Cake.

I am having a Healthy Choice lunch. Going to the pool around 5ish. Going to try to pump out some Birthday Cards for the Social ans Sports Club to get that little chore out of the way.

Char: Sorry to here your employee's put you in a unpleasant situation. With all the people complaining about there being no work, you wouldn't think you would have a problem. I guess, everyone wants to get paid $20 an hour these days.
By the way, I did giggle at your post. You know the part about running around naked.

Oliver and I ended up at the local Pub with a friend for dinner. I had two potato skins and way to much beer for supper. I still ended up within my calories.

I didn't do a lick of exercise today - Took a break.

I did watch a couple movies, but I was stitching up Ollie clothes.
An old MN friend called too and we talked for almost an hour - usually it is only about 10 min.
He must be in single status again. I am trying to put together a potluck picnic for the company I use to work for. We had 8 show up last year and it was fun.
I am also trying to put a party together for the lady I go visit in the nursing home on Monday. She will be 100 on July 3rd. I am going to try to talk Publix's into donating the cake, since I found out how pricey they are.

Judy: I guess it will be easier to catch you than Char. I was 208.8 this morning, but I know that beer didn't help and not exercising today didnt help either. I guess I won'ty be playing pinochle tonite. MA

Today I was down to 200 so I sure hope it is still there or lower tomorrow for my monthly weigh in and measure.

Empty nest- mine has been that way since 1998 and 2000 is when the grand kids started being born so there is always someone around here. Between the neighbor kids and my nieces and the grand kids I don't get too lonely...my evenings are wonderful when no one is around- it is so quiet and I can get stuff done I need to do since my DH works from like 1:30pm-4am.

I know I could still get pregnant. Just don't feel pregnant so don't think I am. It has only been 4-1/2 weeks (I'm usually about 3-1/2 weeks apart). The last two times I skipped due to perimenopause it was about 6 weeks. If I don't start soon, I will get a test and check. I am being careful just in case (skipped Zumba Friday and not lifting heavy things at the restaurant).

MA: there's not much DH and I can do with an empty nest that we don't do now except maybe run around the house naked if we feel like it (unless, of course, we know the kids won't be home... ;-) )

Judy: Can't imagine having a child at 62. I'm only 44 so it wouldn't be the end of the world if I was, just not sure how we would work the restaurant.

Speaking of the restaurant, having wonderful employee problems again. One of the people we hired quit after 2 weeks because she couldn't handle the heavy lifting. Today, our other one never showed up for work nor called. Guessing she quit, too. At least the first one told us she was quitting. Have two boys to help out for the summer but that leaves me waiting tables every day. Not sure what we are going to do yet - hire someone or close one day.

On a good note, I am back to losing. Down just over a lb from Monday (official weigh-in tomorrow) but still up from 2 weeks ago.

I went to school with a girl that had a baby at the same time as her mom and her mom was 62 at that time so it does happen...until you are totally in and through menopause there is that chance. Good Luck with that. FYI- you can have periods and still be pregnant too. I had 3 after I got pregnant. And the pregnancy tests kept saying I wasn't pregnant but I was.

Char: FYI - Men never grow up - they are always in their childhood. And U better B careful - woman still have babies in their 50's. I have kid sisters younger than my kids - I bet you wouldn't have a thing to do if you and hubby became an empty nesters..Right?
I cried when my baby left, but about the time I got use of the idea - She came back - more than once. I think that is part of the reason I moved to Florida.

I shudder at the thought of moving back to MN, but that could happen.

Judy: I hope you are feeling better and hanging in there.

I suppose I better go to bed so I can be all bright eyed and bushy tailed through the Sunday go meeting. I hate when I doze off.
There are some good special at publixs this week, but I got to get ate up whats in the fridge first. I ordered some more of my protein bars - I run out and I miss not having them for snacks. I hope they don't melt by the time they get here.

I swear my DH is in his second childhood, too! Makes me worried how he'll be in 20 years since he is only in his early 50's. LOL

Having to lower my cal range is the only downfall of losing weight. Right now I aim for 1700-2100 per day (I get lots of exercise). I'm sure it will have to go lower and I go lower. I am slowly losing the few pounds I gain a week ago. It is slow going right now because I'm bloated. Body has decided to skip TOM this month which means I will have the PMS bloat for another couple of weeks! Yuk! I don't like perimenopause! When I'm skipping, I'm never sure if it is for that reason or because I'm pregnant because I get the same symptoms: Swollen upper abdomen (I got big early and carried the babies high with my pregnancies) and, due to the extra tissue matter pushing on my bladder, I go to the bathroom more often. It was just like this the past two times I skipped a month. I will be so glad when I am completely thru all this!

I was at the Flea Market All day with Oliver - like from 8am - 3pm. I walked, walked and walked some more. I gave myself credit for 3 hrs of walking, but it was probably more.
I did take breaks for breakfast & lunch and a cold beverage. I did do some browsing too.

I found a nice white jacket that was originally $50 for $15. I bought 3 pr of colored fancy sunglasses and lights for my trike. Oh ya, little licence plates with our names on them to put on the trike - and you thought I was kidding when I said I was in my second childhood.

It was a great day but am totally exhausted. I hope you are both enjoying your weekend. MA

My allergies have kicked in and I feel like crap. I hate taking my allergy pills because then I feel so drained and worn out.

My count is suppose to be between 1200-1550 so I try to stay around 1200 but it is good to go up and down so body doesn't know what is going on. I actually have been doing pretty good so far- down to 201 today but will see what happens at my monthly weigh in Monday.

Char: I don't like going under 1600, but I am going to do whatever it takes. I am sure there will be days I will be over 1500 to make up the low cal days. I was over 1300 today, but I am not doing much for exercise right now.

Going to go get 7 hrs of sleep tonite. Thats the challenge I should be working on.

It was kind of a dull day. I need some excitement in my life. MA

Tracked most of the day so I know I didn't do too bad but think I am a little over. Back to day one tracking again tomorrow. It doesn't help that my hormones are screwed up right now. Lovely joys of perimenopause - at least I hope that is what it is - TOM was due to visit a few days ago.

Judy: Leaving for MN July 12 - coming home Aug 30th.

As DR Ordered, I played lazy and took it easy all day. I have a lot to do, but only can do a little everyday. I still don't have my plants in the ground. I did water them today thou - poor things.

I have stayed under 1200 calories 2 days in a row. I opened up my nutrition tracker to the public. HaHA! That should keep me accountable.

I have my Friday Bible study tomorrow, then I am going to go to the Dr to have bandage changed and run a cole errands. Saturday - I think I will run out to the Flea Market again. I bought a couple of cheap watches, but he didn't put batteries in them for me - it is a good place to go for a walk now that all the snow birds went home. Sunday: is congregation meeting, then grocery shopping, then hopefully the pool. Maybe I can find time to get the plants in the ground. LOL - Always find time for the computer. MA

Today's walk was fun! Almost had the whole crew with DH and me. The two oldest came with our two dogs. Didn't ask the youngest to come with because he already did 45 min on the elliptical and he is still recovering from his sprained ankle.

Day two tracking food. A few more days and it will be a habit again! If I don't track I don't lose.

Char: Sometimes it is good to get up on a soapbox and get things off your mind....probably won't change a thing thou. I took an early retirement and for 18 Mo they wanted over $900 a month for Ins just for me. I said "No Way" - at my age I was really taken a risk, but I put faith and trust in God to keep me well and I was blessed. I now have an HMO and no back-up policy. Obama feels we are getting to much for our money and wants to change that too -You can't win, when it comes to wordly governments running things.
Maybe you can get off your medication with your continued wt loss. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Judy: I am in my 2nd day of my new attitude and mission about getting this weight off once and for all. To bad we are both to busy to start a team. I thought about becoming a Leader of one of those new weekly Teams for new joiners of SP, but Holy Cow, they have over 15,000 people joining every week - way to many people for me. Maybe a Leader of one of these BLC Teams where they only have 25-30 members every 10 weeks might be better. Just a thought of course.

There are a lot of Spark motivators on the Lime Team. I tried motivating for over 3 years and never got that honor. I don't take the time to go to SparkPages much anymore. Maybe I will have a little more time this challenge - everything seems to change for me fromm day to day.

I am planning a little birthday party for Polly, She will be 100 yrs old on July 3rd. I might create an event in FaceBook asking people to send her a BD card. It would give her something to do, other than read a book. I don't think she participates much in the activities going on at the nursing facility.

The Sports and Social Club needs me to make some BD cards this week too.

Have a good day - I better go do something constructive.

We have ins. through my husband's employer and we pay about $22 a week for our part and they have never charged for anything. Employees have to take a risk assessment test each year to get lower ins. if they choose not to take it then they pay like $10 more a week- we always do it to get the lower. Oh well, if they want to charge more next year because I am overweight then let them but I am going to try hard to lose the weight by then.

Health insurance has always had higher rates for overweight people or people with other major health problems. Or they just don't approve policies for them. Don't get me started on health ins. What really bugs me are the people who don't buy health ins because they say it is too expensive yet spend money left and right on all kinds of unnecessary things, new cars, expensive vacation and then they have "benefits" to raise money for them when they do have medical expenses. We drive old cars, don't go on expensive vacations (Going to Florida this past January was my first vacation in at least 5 years - more like 7 or 8) but we do pay $800 per month to have health insurance. I'm not sure about the one we have now, but the previous one charged us extra for my husband being on cholesterol lowering meds, me being overweight and on prozac. Nevermind that if I wasn't on the prozac I might have high blood pressure or heart attack from stress. That's enough of my soap box.

I did track today! Getting more focused again every day. Just had to get over that rough spot.

So, MA, are you going to tie your arms at your sides when you are walking so you don't swing them? LOL. I can't see walking without moving my arms. Sorry you are going to miss out on pool time.

My DH and I were talking today about the overweight thing and I said I would rather be overweight and healthy than thin and unhealthy. Tonight in the paper there were 4 deaths and they were all between 28-50. You see athletes and runners and people who think they are eating healthy to be healthy, falling over dead everyday or having heart attacks. Our friend in Australia was at the hospital last month- he had a mini heart attack and he is only 35 and is healthy, thin and an athlete. Another friend is only 50 just had a triple by pass yesterday. It is just unreal.
Anyway I am trying to buy a bunch of the weight watcher and south beach and lean cuisine meals and other things like that to eat during the weeks and then maybe the weekends won't affect me so much on weight. I am the only one here during the week so it isn't so bad.

Judy: I remember hearing the airlines were going to raise the rates for heavier people - nothing come of that - YET!! I guess it is a proven fact, that heavier people do have more health issues, but then are they going to lower the rates for thinner people - probably not.
I just feel so blessed that I don't have the health issues that some do with weight problems.
I know a little something about Obama's Health Plan - so unfair in more ways than one.

There hasn't been a Government in over 6,000 years that has really been just to man. It's not just Obama - He is actually a puppet. The whole world is falling apart. I seriously feel we are living in the end times!!

As far as your social life and parties, you might be in trouble. I sure know I would be with a schedule like that. I am worried about my trip to MN. Where can we buy handcuffs - lock our hands behind us and let someone hand feed us from the fruit or veggie trays. I have to pray a lot, so as long as I am praying I will pray for all of us to have the self control we need.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister having a tuff time - so much to pray for these days.
I think about you often. You sure do have your plate full - I hope things slow down for you by 2012.

I am not doing very well at all- I was up to 203.8 on Monday but today I was back down to 202. I have a party of some kind every Saturday from here on out through August.
June 11- Grad party--18th--wine tasting bridal shower---25th-grad party---July 3rd-25th anniv.party--9th- benefit for a friend's baby --16th-baby shower--23rd-wedding---30th-wedding---Augu
st-6th-FREE--13th-anniv.party-18th-26th my friend is here from Australia with my party on the 20th.
And I have to attend all of these since they are all for family.

And on top of all this my sister is back in the hospital (since Sunday morning) she is having kidney problems now on top of her cancer so she had to stop her cancer treatments. She is 11 months younger than me and has been through so much in the past 10 years.

And also our health insurance , come January wants to raise the rates on people they feel are overweight and that use tobacco products or drink too much or have health issues- thanks to Obama on the weight issue. I just feel this is not right. They go by those charts and don't take age and body frame by consideration.

I went to the dermotologist this afternoon to have a mole removed on my back. I didn't think it was such a big deal as not to be able to go to the pool or bike. Jeeeeze!!
Well, I have to admit I kind of like excuses to be lazy or at least an excuse to spend time on the computer.
I ended up on the BLC Lime Team. There is one old friend there - KMKuck - She might of even been in STOP Team for a challenge or two way back when. Brimoira is there also. I think she might be on this One-der-land Team or was she on the mahogony team. My memory plays tricks on me. I will check it out later.
I did get in 100 min in the pool earlier - thank goodess I decided to go this morning. We have had showers this afternoon, which we needed badly. I have a couple plants to get in the ground too.

I can walk, but I am not to swing my arms - maybe I will just be doing some steppin on the WII Fit plus. I stopped at the library to pick up some movies too. I am glad I had this done b4 going to MN. I have to have the stitches in for 2 weeks. I am going to go in Friday to have the bandage changed. They will do it for free. Well, Oliver can't do it, so they decided to be generous.

Had a chocolate binge yesterday afternoon, also. Today has been much better. Stayed away from most sugar! I am up a little but don't think it is actual weight gain, just temp stuff. Need to get some extra fiber in and also it is getting to be time for TOM to visit again.

Char: Sorry about the sugar binge, but sure have been there and done that. One always regrets after the fact.

I did go to the Flea Market today. I think my priciest purchase was a piece of luggage for $25 It's like a duffel bag on wheels and weights 7# - thats half the weight of my other suitcase.

I did get 80 min in the pool. Aaaahhhhhhhhhh- soaked in the hot tub too.
And my eyes are slammin shut. Have a good nite. MA

Need to get focused. Did great until the afternoon when I went on a sugar binge. I think it is stress eating. Still really shook up about the tornado that hit Joplin. Feeling much better right now. Went to Zumba this evening. That always puts me in a good mood. Had a fairly healthy dinner. Spinach salad with Caesar dressing, some avocado, jicama, and 1 turkey hot dog (no bun).

I was doing yard work most the day today. I got a later start than I wanted to.- around 10ish. I had to drink a lot of water and take some breaks. I finished around fivish this evening, then went to the pool this evening. The pool was like dessert tonite after working in the yard most the day.

I probably will hurt so bad in the morning, I won't want to get out of bed.
I do plan on doing some raking in the yard tomorrow, if I can move at all.

I started watching a movie tonite but fell a sleep - I wonder why.
Think I will go to bed early.

A lot of storms up thru the midwest this year - Whats with that?
I hope thats no indication of hurricanes for FL this year. We don't have basements in FL.
And if you live in a tin hut - you usually have to go to a shelter and most of them don't take pets..

Char: I didnt weigh this morning either. I went on an eating binge last nite. I am hoping I worked it off in the yard today. And womanhood never ends, even when you don't get your period - your body still wants to retain water at least once a month - probably out of habit.

Think I'm ready for no more tornadoes for awhile. I'm starting to have them in my dreams at night! At least no one got hurt in my dream but there were dozens of tornadoes. Really strange!

Didn't get on the scale this morning but I was up a few pounds yesterday. I think it was due to my digestive systems getting screwed up from not being on my normal eating routine on Saturday. Been slightly constipated. (I know, TMI). That is leaving but now I'm getting menstrual cramps so I'm feeling a little bloated from that. I was hoping I'd be late this month since I spotted for so long last month. I'm guessing it was due to hormones being of kilter causing or due to cysts on ovaries or uterus - went to Gyn. a few years ago with this and he gave me hormones which caused the cysts and bleeding to go away but messed up my hormones the other direction and I skipped the next month. This time I figured I'd just wait and let my hormones straighten themselves out, which they did. I made things worse doing lower ST this evening which included squats and lunges, so it made my abdomen slightly tender. The joys of womanhood!

I saw that about Cheryl, too. Hope she doesn't get too bored being off her feet so long.

Sorry to here about the bad news from the derm., MA. Don't be so blah cux you diddle the day away. You are retired and are allowed to do that now and then. You did get your water workout in so it is not like you sat around all day and did nothing!

We all miss you both on the STOP team.

Got woke up this morning at 4:45 with tornado sirens going off. There was a funnel cloud a few miles north of us. Don't think there was any damage. At least I haven't heard of any. Had more storms this afternoon but just rain and hail. Probably getting more tonight but not suppose to generate any tornadoes. Glad of that!

Well, I did a lot of nothing today. I did get an 80 min water workout.

I was ready to go to the pool and I invited Ollie to go with me. I was in the lanai and I heard him kind of going back in forth around his cage. I came back in to hussle him up a bit. He kept stoppin and looking up at the counter where I usually change him into his diaper. I think he was trying to tell me, he wasn't going unless I got him dressed. It is the first time he has done that. Well, he stayed home cuz I was ready to go and I wasn't in the mood to put a romper on him for a couple hours. I did sit out on the front porch with him while I ate my dinner.

I kind of got the blahs tonite, but its probably cuz I diddled the day away again.
No ifs ands or butts - I have to weed whack in the morning.

Oh ya - Dermatologist ofc called today - the biopsy of the mole they took last week came back abnormal, so I go in next Wednesday to have that cleaned up.
Looks like our friend Cheryl will be going in for some surgery - I think she said after July 4th.

Ma-yes I think i should have lost a lot of weight too with all I have been doing. I did manage to get a walk in today though...first in a very long time- it is only a half mile but it was something.

Yea I am definitely not ready to start a new team yet but maybe in the fall.

The neighbors tree lost a huge branch in the wind storm the other night -the tree service came today and cut down that tree and the huge pine tree between our properties and they have 2 more to come down and we have 2 to cut down and the neighbor on the other side has one too.

i have a dogwood tree and a redbud tree to get planted.

Char: I am going to try and do the BLC again, but not sure what team I will be on.
I have some friends on the yellow team, but I was on the green team b4 so requested that one........but I don't think the green team exist anymore unless you go to Jade or Lime.
We will see what happens. I just might have to eat crow and ask for an invite back to the STOP Team or start a new Team all together?

Judy: I wouldn't even think about startin a New Team without you. I am not ready for that yet, and I know your not with what you are involved in with your home and yard and international Company comin. WOW!! You will be ready for another vacation after all that.

Did I tell you guys - My son is headed out to CA to be on the Judge Judy show. I have no idea when it will be aired. I hope he lets me know. I have already given him instructions - LOL. Once upon a time he use to listen to me a little bit. Enough to keep him out of major trbl anyway. I informed him he better not embarrass me in anyway on international TV or I would sure disown him (JK) I think he has a chance to win, but I have watched the show on occasion and Know Judge Judy can turn that around in 2 seconds. Don't know about the STOP challenge, MA. That doesn't end until June 6. I did decide to do BLC one more round but that will probably be it. I should be close to 170 by then so will be losing a lot slower. Won't want to be in a challenge that really only focuses on who loses the most, even if it is %, not lbs.

Son finally heard from his last friend in Joplin but just read on facebook that my cousin's daughter is still waiting to hear from some of her friends and family there. Scary to think we all were just in Joplin the day before the tornado hit!

It was dried out just enough that I could mow and thank God I did because we just had another storm tonight. I will never get the yard done- they are calling for storms the rest of the month and into June.

Judy: I've always wanted a dogwood. My mom gave me one a few years ago but we planted it in a bad place and it died.

MA: My bad eating schedule Saturday (not calories, just that I only ate one large meal and two small snacks and my body did not like it) isn't helping with my weightloss either. I was down to 186.2 Saturday morning but I'm up to 187.4 this morning. Still down .6 for the week.

The weed whacking still isn't done - got to work it in somewhere soon.

I got ink on one of my favorite skirts. I sprayed hairspray on the ink, then threw it in the ktchn sink with sudsie water - threw a white blouse in too while I was at it. The skirt was light aqua, so didn't give a thought to it fading. I came back from the pool and I couldn't believe how blue the water was not to mention my white top. I threw the white top in some bleach water right away and I think it will be ok.

I put a box of clothes together for my DD and one for my sister while I was at it.

I have to start practice walking in those cute sandals with kitten heels to see if I can handle that - if I end up hurting myself my daughter will get those too.

I seem to be stuck on 209, but I am behavin so the scale should move down soon.

Judy: You should of lost weight with all the work your doing on the house. I see you are moving across country with me so you are getting some cardio in. Painting-Painting and more Painting perhaps - Its all hard work.

Lots to do tomorrow, but I am going to sneak in a game of pinochle b4 bed. MA

Things are finally starting to come together- my upstairs is completely done...I put two roll-away beds in layaway and I have to have them out in July so I will have beds when people come to visit- The grand children will be happy now. They come in there only carry bags too and were on sale so I got both cheaper than I could 1 mattress.

I have some painting to do yet and the neighbor is going to help me with that so it won't take too long.

All I will have left is all the outside stuff and my DH will do a lot of that for me...but it can't be done till things dry out that is for sure.

Then I can start concentrating on myself...I am trying to get some bike time in between raining and I have been mowing by pushing instead of the rider and I want to get some time in on the walking when I can. I am still at 201.8 today so i really need to get back under 200.

My DH brought me home a dogwood tree last fall-I have wanted one forever and then last night he brought another one home twice the size of the first one and also a redbud tree. Now I need to find a place to plant those 2. I am running out of space. But they are given to me for free so I can't complain too much.

Actually, I know have two ideas. Going to make up images of rough drafts and propose them to the director of my department for her opinion.

Had a great time yesterday at son's graduation (as I'm sure you can tell MA from looking at the pics on facebook).

Char - sounds like a good plan and wonderful that you have idea's already in your head.

I out together a great soup yesturday - it started out to be chicken chili but I had some other things to get rid of so they ended up in the soup. I filled like 22 lge cottage cheese cartons ( 1/2 c)- each container having less than 200 calories - 1 gram fat - 15g protein - I haven't checked the sodium yet but I used mostly low sodium tomato's. I will be chowing down on this quite a bit for the next few weeks - I want to lose 10 plus pounds b4 I go to MN.

I went to bed by 10:30 last nite - I was up at 6am. Oliver and I have already had some porch time. I think I might get in a bike ride b4 sunday go meeting - I will leave the pool till this evening.
My face is all red and crusty from the nitrogen treatment - I would rather not go to the meeting this morning but I missed Tues nite, so I better go.

I think I'm going to wait until Fall to re-do my presentation. That will give me all summer and half of fall to make changes. I have some ideas in my mind already. I think they might be wanting me to do another direct study class (one-on-one class with adviser/professor) but not sure.

Just posted pics of Tom's graduation. Had a great day. Did not eat great but did not do too bad. Think I'm even under calories, which is good since I didn't get my usual amount of exercise today.

Char; Does that mean you have to, like go to summer school. Maybe you just work way to many long hours to concentrate on a project. Slow down a little.
Well, for sure you have been doing one marvelous job at reconstructing your body. You have a little ways to go yet, but you will make it. But in my book, you have an A plus on the job already done.

A friend give me a bunch of clothes today - some with the tags still on them. I am trying to get them tried on, but I keep getting interupted. The power was out for awhile again.

My plan is to weed whack in the morning, not sure though - it is raining and the grass might be to wet. MA

Sitting here waiting for my final review to start. It is suppose to start at 5:45 but just got word the panel may be running a little late. Nothing like having to wait even longer to do a presentation and find out whether or not you have earned your degree! Did some tai chi to calm down. May have to do some more...or at least some deep relaxing breaths!

Good Morning My dear spark friends

I was tired last nite. I think I was in bed by 10:30 last nite, then DD called me twice after I was asleep. I need to talk to her about that.

Char: Ya, 10 #'s is good for me, but I need to do better if I am going to catch you or have another 10 off by the time I leave for MN. i AM REALLY WORKING ON IT.

I just turned down a lunch with an aquaintance for next Friday.. I haven't heard from her in 8 yrs - We went to TOPS together. I made some address labels for her and she wanted some more. She sent me a sample label - I worked a whole evening trying to find the match on the fonts and special effects. I got them done and decided to mail them to her - She wanted to go to lunch, but at her convenience - not mine. I do my Bible Study on Friday - The ladies are usually here till 12:30 or so and I don't wish to rush them out - I don't need to do lunch that badly and besides when I go out and spend money I want to eat the really bad stuff - It is really best I don't go. This lady is spending mega bucks to lose weight so she doesnt need a lunch out either.

Gotta scoot - Ladies will be here shortly and I have to clean up Olivers mess in front of his cage. Have a good day - BBL - MA

Char that is wonderful-you go girl.

Ma-you need to make sure you take care of yourself.

Well, it is still raining here and I have just about had it with it. I can't paint unless I open the windows and I can't do that if it is raining. I can't do yard work either and it will be a long time before I can do anything outside- my yard is a lake and will take forever to dry out.

Yesterday I finally finished making all the curtains for upstairs that I needed to get done. They look nice but didn't exactly come out the way I wanted them too. But I guess when you don't use a pattern and free style it that happens. Anyway they are done now. All I have to do is go get a bed and the upstairs will be done.

That really cuts into your pool time!

Went to the doc this afternoon. According to their computer, I've lost 70 lb since mid-January! LOL She and I figured out the nurse wrote the wrong weight down and had me gaining 50 lbs as the scale is in 50 lb increments (261 instead of 211). We did look back and I have lost 64 lbs in the last year. Last May I was 255, today 191!

Good evening ladies

I went to the dermotologest today. Several precancerous spots on face and neck - She sprayed them with liquid nitrogen. It kind of burned, but I am a big baby when it comes to any kind of pain. I am suppose to wash face n neck with dove soap and put vaseline on spots till they go away. She gave me a free sample of Cetaphil Face moisturizer (SPF 50) and a $4 coupon..

I should stay out of the sun btwn 10-4, so will see if I can rearrange my schedule a bit.
I made up a bunch of fruit smoothies tonite - They should last me till I go to MN.

One game of pinochle then I am off to bed. MA

Took my second oldest out for his first legal drink this evening. What's funny is he had the drinks (yes, drinks...2) and I ended up with a headache on the way home. Ended up letting youngest son drive instead.

Have an appt. with the doc tomorrow afternoon at 4. If it is lyme disease, this headache could be from that. It isn't one of my normal migraines. It is at the base of back of my head. May go to bed early tonight.

Not going to get any exercise today but did stay in range for calories.

Char: Thought I would post there till i get assigned another team for the summer challenge.
No one has sent me an Spark Mail asking me not to.
I also will send or post my last weeks weight. They can do with it what they want. I hope to lose at least a little.

Well ladies I sure would like to see 150 again, but with the way I been strugglin I will be lucky to see 175. I will keep strugglin though.

I got a call yesturday from someone in my old TOPS Group. She decided to go to a Doctor and spend mega bucks to lose her weight. The gal in our Park that lost 100 pounds through a $$$$$ pricey weight loss clinic has gained 30 of it back already.

I did coffee clatch then the pool this morning. I came home for lunch and a little sparkin.
It is time to put Ollie's romper on and take him for a bike ride. I need to stop at the Bank - Walgreens - Dollar Store - Sprint Store so i better get a husslin.

Char- you do need to get that looked at. Nothing to mess around with is it was a tick bite.

Yea my ultimate goal is 158 but I haven't been below 175 in the past 10 years. When I was working I was at 190 and I lost 15# just from all the walking and lifting I did at work. I do miss that but not the agonizing pain it caused in my shoulders and legs. Not to mention the wrist and feet that I had to seek medical help for. It was mere torture on my body.

I wore size 10/12 when I got married and weighed 120# but after my first was born I got back down to size 12 and 128# then with the 2nd I was 162# when I delivered her and never got below 150 but still wore size 12. Then I quit smoking and had a tubaligation and the weight just kept on climbing but was still wearing a size 12. I now wear size 14- so I guess that isn't too bad but I really need to lose the weight to be able to wear all my size 12 clothes again.

Judy: Noticed your tracker is at 200! WTG! I can't imagine being 120 either. I should be around 135 but goal is 150. I was down to 145 after I lost weight after my second sone was born but maintained at around 155 for about 1 year until I got laid off. Anything less that 150 is a bonus but don't want to go below 135/140.

MA: Noticed you posted on the Pony Express thread for the BLC challenge. Why since you left the Mahagony Melters?

Calling the doc today. I either am having a reaction to a bug bite, have an infection at a bug bite, or have Lyme disease from a tick bite I had Thursday evening. Found a tick near my ankle Thursday evening that I must have picked up on my walk earlier that day. Sunday morning, in about the same spot, had an itchy bump like a bug bite. Last night I notice a 1" red patch surrounding the bite area.
