I just found this challenge...so here's what I did today that I've been putting off.

this morning I had to attend a funeral of a co-worker. It reminded me that we are not promised tomorrow. I've been meaning to make lunch plans with a former boss of mine. I'm very fond of her and she has listened to me and encouraged me many times after the loss of my mother. Today after the funeral I picked up my phone and called Mary. We have a scheduled lunch date and I so look forward to seeing her in the coming days.

It looks like no one has been on this thread for awhile. It's a good one to resurrect. I missed them when they were freshly posted.

Challenge One was to do something we had been procrastinating, so here's my goal for next week. I need to clean Mom and Dad's papers out of the fire box and file them. Then get my important documents and papers into the fire box. A fire box is a good idea for every home.

Challenge Two is to do something special for ourselves. I could say that playing games on the computer is my special something that I enjoy doing. I think I will make it a goal to bake some cookies. No, I won't get into trouble.

Oh, I just noticed there is a new challenge thread so I'll move over there.

So far, so good! Made my breakfast the way I like it, with fresh picked veggies and herbs on the eggs. Redid the linen closet so that I could put away all the new bedding from mom's, woo hoo, another job done and a fresh bedspread chosen for mom's old bed, one that matches here, and solft and silky.

My husband and I are going with another couple to celebrate their anniversary today! We are going to a chinese restaurant in a bigger city. We have never been to the restaurant so I am looking forward to it!

It's almost Wednesday again, time for a new Wednesday challenge. Today's challenge is to pamper yourself. Caregivers often are so busy taking care of everyone else, that they neglect themselves. So, this week's Wednesday challenge is to do something for YOU.

You might soak in a bubble bath, have your hair done, or take a quiet walk. Read a little, do a puzzle, knit a while on something YOU can use. Choose a food you like for a change (I know, we often end up preparing whatever the rest of the family will eat, or pick up something quick or cheap or easy, instead of something we really LIKE.) It can be anything you want, but do something for YOU on Wednesday.

Don't forget to stop in and let us know what you did!

Sounds good! I'm off next door to clean where the old couch was, want to scrub it up good while the area is empty, and get it ready for the cabinets that will be occupying that area next. I'm hoping to set up the old treadle sewing machine there, and actually get some sewing done!

Writing my gramma's birthday card. Haven't actually been procrastinating but I need to get it done so that it goes out on time. Thanks for the little push, Judy!

Today is FlyLady's anti-procrastination day. Today's challenge: pick one thing that you've been putting off, and do it. No, not a big project, just one thing. Make a phone call to a friend, put that letter in the mail (mine has been waiting for a week now, needs weighed for the stamp/s), read a chapter of a book, stitch a few more stitches on that project that's been sitting in the bag by your chair forever. . .give 5 minutes to something left undone today, and tell us what you did.
