I had one that was ok, nothing special. It didn't keep the best track of steps. A couple of weeks ago, I got one in the mail for free. It was part of a wellness program through work. This one is actually pretty nice as far as keeping track. Nothing fancy, but it did its job.
You ladies are very active! I use a weight watchers pedometer that I love as it keeps reports for a week at a time. So you can compare...plus it has a clock and a stop watch also. I had tried the Sportline at Walmart for $5.00 but kept losing them. They work good if you can keep the clip on your waistband. I tried them in my pocket but they didn't record good. Most people on Spark do recommend the Omron. Have a great Sunday!
I had a workout yesterday. I cleaned my hardwood floors in my living room and dining room. I had to first sweep, then use a cleaner, and then a refinisher. They look great after several years of not properly being cleaned. My sides are sore.
Yardwork is DEFINATELY a workout! And, if I'm running up and downstairs or washing floors, housework is too. I worked in the yard yesterday, and I'm sore ALL over! That's the good news. I'm actually going to quit the gym over it, as my yard needs a lot of work.... and I have a bike to start riding too. I think you have the right of it.... what kind of pedometer do you use? I've looked at them, but I've heard mixed reports about how well they work....
That I can relate to. The last time I mowed my yard it took almost all day as I had to stop and rest about ever 10-15 minutes. If that young man from the high school doesn't come today and mow I will be out there tomorrow.
Do you make an effort to turn everyday activities, like housework, into workouts?
1. All the time!
2. Only when I can't get to the gym.
3. No, I don't think it really counts.
4. I don't need to try; it already is a workout for me!
I think housework and outdoor activities like mowing, gardening & etc..are definitely workouts for me and I track them on the fitness tracker. Everyday chores like washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. I use the movement on my pedometer by counting the steps. What do you think??
Depends on my stress level or if I am on medication. I was on a different medication from Nov to Jan and I would wake up between 2-4am and be wide awake for a couple of hours. I was exhausted and asked my doctor to put me back on the medication I had before and now I sleep all the way through the night. The other night, I tossed and turned, because I spoke to my ex-bf (friend-not sure what to call him) and he asked me to come visit him at the end of the year. Have to do some major thinking about that request. Long story behind it.
