I'm up about 2.4 pounds but I expected that. I had my usual protein drink for breakfast, walked to work (which is just over 1 mile away one way), had a plan meal for lunch and then let the indulgences begin. I had a few (4, 2 buttercream and 2 bordeaux) home made truffles. (I make them for my business and had made a few new batches and had to quality control taste them. So I saved that task for cheat day.) I had some cookies (also for my business!) and when I got home from work (walking again!), I made a pepperoni pizza and ate 3 pieces. I know I didn't consume over 7,000 calories so I'm definitely holding water. I'm back on track again today and looking forward to what the week will bring!

I only gained 2lbs this week! That's a record. I usually gain between 5-10! I was strict about exercising before and 90 minutes after and I took a 2 mile hike in the evening! Other than that, I pretty much ate A LOT!

lost 5 and gained 3. I had to do my cheat day on the 5th day rather than the 6th during the first week.

I put on close to 6 lbs on Sunday my first post-cheat day. I've lost it all by today. What I've started doing is more grazing, I like to taste lots of different things, some candy, some pasta, some potatoes. 2 more days!

That's what I put on Sunday morning. It's doable to remove that by next Saturday am.

Tim recommends that if you use IF, that you do it the day after your cheat day. So, you were right on. I do it the day before, just because we go out after church on Sunday as a group for lunch, so unless I changed my cheat day, which I sometimes do, I didn't want to be fasting then.

After this cheat day I was up 5.5 pounds on Sunday. I fasted until dinner Sunday as an experiment becaused I had read that some people had great results with itermittent fasting and it's supposed to help with insulin resistance. So after fasting until dinner yesterday I am only up 1.2 pounds from cheat day. I'm anxious to see if I drop tomorrow or if it goes up or stays the same. It's an interesting experiment though. And I wasn't hungry at all until dinner time.

You can do it! I usually hit pre-cheat weight by Friday or down from that Saturday am. Almost makes me want to skip cheat day, but Tim says they are necessary to raise your TSH levels.

That's the one thing I'm still working on! Lol Always forget to do the exercises afterward. I tell you I think I'm going to be ripped just from the GLUT-4!

DASSCHUS, don't forget to do your GLUT-4 1 hour AFTER each meal, too!

I also do the grapefruit juice, and that helps. I usually gain 2-4 lbs. I try not to gain more than 3 because after cheat day I usually lose a half a pound a day, and any more than 3 has me losing the same pounds each week!

1.5 pounds?! That would be wonderful!

I have a very bad case of insulin resistance. I break out in fat when I have carbs. LOL

I did the GLUT-4 exercises before each meal and even ran 7 miles that morning. I also took caffeine, cinnamon and grapefruit juice before each meal. Tried to follow the protocol to the best of my understanding.

We'll see how the weight comes off this week. :)

I am so curious about cheat day stories...thanks for sharing! I am one of those people who does NOT get sick from cheat day, and yes, I can pig out! I think the most I ever gained in one cheat day was 7 lbs, but that's not the norm for me anymore. I still enjoy my cheat days, but I get so busy doing things, eating is no longer the focus for the day.

If you are interested in keeping the weight down on cheat days, try the GLUT-4 exercises Tim recommends: a set before you eat, another set one hour after eating. Do that for every meal on cheat day, and let us know the results! It brought my cheat day increase to only 1.5 lbs!

Cheat day! It was fun and yet slightly disappointing. I had all of these grand ideas of everything I would indulge in and could only eat a few bites before I was full. Then I just felt tired and bloated with a slight headache. That being said, I can't wait for next binge day. LOL

OK, so how much did YOU gain? Me? 5.5 pounds!
