My name is Bonnie and I'm 22. I am starting this journey for the third time, and the second time with SP. I'm hoping that the third time's really the charm. I've been overweight since I was a kid and don't want to get married & have my own kids while I'm overweight. So best to get it done and stick with it this time for my future.
My long term goal is to lose 140 pounds. My short term goal(s) is to lose 10% of my weight at a time. First goal is on my ticker. Last time sectioning off my goals like that helped me. Smaller goals: eat healthier, drink more water, and exercise.

Hi everyone! I live in Iowa. I teach Middle/High School for boys. My son is active in basketball and boy scouts at this time. My husband works full time but we still make family time at least 1 day a week. I found this site and think it is just what I need to inspire me to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Hi Everyone. My name is Alexandra and I'm 25 years old. I am a New Zealander but in 3 weeks (!!) I move to Sydney Australia to start my masters. I am getting married in February 2012 and really want to get to my goal weight by then so that I'm feeling and looking my best on our wedding day. I stumbled across Spark when I was looking for a free calorie tracker - it seems like an amazing website. A little overwhelming though!

Hi! My name is Leesa and I live at the edge of the beautiful Appalachain Mountains. I am married with two grown kids (One moved back in with us after college - my boomerang baby.) I am a church secretary and love my job, but I sit at a desk in front of a computer 8-10 hours a day.
My long term goal is to lose 50 pounds this year and be an encourager and helper for my hubby who has 50 pounds to lose also. My short term goal, honestly, is to stick with this for more that two weeks.

Hi, My name is Maggie. I am 50 years old and live in Montana. I have a busy family life with 4 wonderful children and 5 grandchildren. I dabble in photography and pottery. I first came to SP in 2008 but I didn't stick with it. I rejoined today with a commitment to finally begin to take care of myself.
I have a long-term goal of losing between 55 and 70 lbs. My short-term weight loss goal is to lose 10% of my weight or 20 lbs in three months.
I'm looking forward to getting to know many new people and moving my life in the direction I want it to go.

I am so glad you joined us. In order to help get you going in the team I have created this checklist to get you going. It is by no means complete, and I will add resources to the list as necessary.

2. Decide what your goals are both long term and short term. Please share your goals with us, so we can all cheer you on as you work towards them.
5. Participate in Weekly challenges to help keep you connected to the group. None of us can go this way alone and it has been proven that people who actively participate in a group have better success rates.
