I started November at 267 lbs. and my last weigh-in was 254. I have a bunch of weight to lose as compared to most but I got to be happy 13 lbs lighter through the tougher months. Toot my own horn!

So far I am staying below 135 during the week. This is huge for me. Usually I am way up in the 140s by now. This is going to be a better year!

I'm doing fair with this challenge. I got most of the Thanksgiving gain off this week, but we went to a Christmas party last night...and the scale is back up this morning. No worries...back at it today. I'm taking this one event at a time.

My goal is to "lose" 6 more lbs by years end...not easy with all the goodies staring at me but I have been fairly good and really do not have a choice to fail, so here's hoping!! emoticon

One holiday and Ellie's birthday behind me...and the scale is up up UP this morning. I will never cease to be amazed at how quickly the scale goes up...it doesn't matter if I exercise or not. Now the challenge will be to get back to the strict eating plan...the hardest part. At least I haven't bailed on my scheduled workouts...that's an improvement over previous years.

How'd did I miss this? My plan is to get under 300 lbs by the 1st. I only have about 4 pounds to go, but since it's holiday season you know it's going to hard. emoticon

I usually keep Thanksgiving simple as it's just my hubby, me, and daughter. I do a turkey breast, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, plain green beans and rolls. Sometimes we grill the turkey. It's yummy that way.

I am spending time today to plan the Thanksgiving, side dish menu. Friends and relatives will bring some dishes but I plan to have several healthy dishes next to Tom Turkey. Any ideas??

This may be the first week I only go down half of my 2lbs/week goal. I think I have turned the 4th meal into mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Can I blame that on the Holidays!

So glad you guys are in! I still hope to lose between now and the end of the year (pipe dream!), but I'll take maintaining through the holidays any time!

How many of you would like to get through the holidays this year and not gain weight or undo all the progress you have made this year? I know I sure would!
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So here is my holiday challenge...even with all the stress of holliday activity, do what you can to stay with the program....

Eat right and track your calories...

Work out...

And most of all soak in the joy of staying healthy for those you love the most!
