Well team...I hope you were able to hone your food tracking skills with this challenge. I sure did. Today is day 99 for me, and I'm not stopping. Food tracking works! I haven't lost any more weight, but I've been on vacation and I haven't gained either. That's a major accomplishment for me!

Almost 14 pounds gone since I started seriously food tracking again...it really works...even though I'm not always perfect with staying within my calorie range.

Hey Carol,

I'm writing down what I eat in a spiral notebook and then trying to transfer it to the nutrition tracker every night. It's a little time consuming to do that but at least I'm writing it down every day.

Cheers,
Kelly

Hello team...cooler weather is here and my Sparkiness is renewed!

If you follow my status posts, you know that I am doing a food tracking streak. I am on day 47...and I've lost 12 pounds. Are you exercising, you ask? Ummm, well, sort of. I get to the gym for spin once or twice a week. It's pitiful, I know, and I intend to do better, but the bottom line is that I have lost 12 pounds in 47 days (that's less than 7 weeks) simply by food tracking. And that doesn't mean I was perfectly within my calorie range every day. Even if I was over, I owned it and I put it in my tracker. As the streak has progressed, I have gotten better at staying within my calorie range and making food choices to better balance carbs, fats and proteins (and sodium). My food logs are public record...go stalk them if you wanna.

So, this Spookie to HottIe challenge will be about creating and sticking with your own food tracking streak between now and Halloween weekend. If you are already on a food tracking streak, join in anytime and keep up with your number of days. For everyone else, there is no specific start date...just join in whenever you are ready.

If you have any questions about food tracking on sparkpeople, let me know. It can be overwhelming and time consuming at first. It's very important to set up your favorites list. I find it much easier when I keep my meals simple. Also, sparkpeople now has some great tools in the food tracker for creating meal plans, family dinners, and spark recipes and then automatically adding them to your tracker.
