You rocked it BAMA. Thanks for sticking with it. I am just happy I didn't gain a ton during this stressful time in my life. One big project will be behind me after today. The next one is due in 3 weeks. Then maybe I will get a break.

I am making very slow progress but progress it is. I did not maintain my daily exercise but have been fairly consistent. Ready for the next challenge!

So the challenge is officially over...and I just started making some progress. How funny is that. I am actualy below my starting weight now. Hope I can keep it up. This month has been so stressful at work. I'm so sorry you guys have seen very little of me here. I am still hoping for better days.

LANUZIE...glad you figured out what might be the problem. Don't ever give up...we have to keep working on it and figuring out how our bodies work.

Well, I have also been under much stress at home and work, exercising less, and more chocolate. But, I was still losing or maintaining until this past week, Was very frustrated when I saw the scale, except I knew that I was retaining fluid, which I attibuted to some chinese food eaten out, but I was puzzled because throughout, I have been doing well with portions and staying within my daily calories most days. Well, the next day I got back my blood work which I finally had drawn (it was due in December) and lo and behold, my thyroid is low, again. So I may have an additional reason for fatigue, fluid retention and weight gain! I will be starting a new dose today, but as I learned when my thyroid problem was first discovered, after I had gained 30 pounds, that will stop the weight gain, but it will not get rid of any of the extra weight. That will take getting back on track with my exercise and continuing to eat well. Bah Humbug, but on we go.

So friends...this is the last week. I have just stayed the same weight the whole time. Not what I had hoped for, but at least I haven't gained. BAMA is clearly the winner. She has been steady and consistant.

Work is so stressful right now...and tomorrow we have company arriving for a week...hubby's brother and his wife. I feel like I am going to implode. I know I haven't been on SP very much. I am hoping for better days and more motivation in April. Hang in there with me team...don't give up on me.

I posted my pounds. I am still at 327. I had a rough week. I had to put down my oldest cat as he had kidney cancer. I didn't eat right this week nor did much exercise.

Thanks Nancy. If I don't lose weight this week, it won't be because I didn't do all the right things...3 runs so far and I have stuck with my calorie range 4 days in a row. I'm sure the cardio is helping my mood as well.

That's what we are here for! This is a good place to get out your frustrations, as we are pretty good listeners. Are you writing down/keeping track of everything you are eating? Maybe change what you are eating? I know that the low carb diet (Atkins) works the best for me.

Ladies...I am really struggling. I maintained throughout the week, but I weigh myself every day and this morning I saw a number I am too ashamed to post. I feel like I have let this team down...and I don't like this feeling. I am digging in and trying to find the motivation I had last year. I can't bear to change my SP ticker. I hate having to lose these same 10 pounds over and over again in order to stay below 135...where I feel good about myself.

Yes, the beginning of 2011 has been tough. My brother passed away, and that has made the pain of losing my mother in 2009 resurface. Work is awful...we are writing a proposal for the contract that keeps all our jobs going. If we don't win it, I could very well lose my job. But I have so much to be thankful for...my husband, wonderful kids, adorable granddaughter and a grandson on the way.

I did get 2 runs in this past week. I'm through the sore muscle phase. My goal is to run 3 times this coming week. I've got to get the food thing under control. I've hit the food tracker again and started planning my meals. It's the only thing that works...as painful as it is...I know I have to do it...and do it NOW before things get even more out of control. Sorry for the blog...just needed to get it all out.

To you ladies continuing to post in this challenge...thanks so much. BAMA, DAP SUNLOVER, LEANNE...you guys ROCK and you are the reason I haven't completely given up!

I maintained this week...yesterday I was down 1/2# and really thought I would see that or more on the scale today. I had a good workout and watched what I ate. Just goes to show you that it is really not in your control and your weight fluctuates day to day. I weigh in almost every day just to hold my feet to the fire and I don't get discouraged if it does not show up on the weigh in day. Tomorrow, I could be down 2# emoticon I will say that my lunch might have had a bit too much sodium. Whatever.....

I am still exercising daily. And that is my biggest surprise and accomplishment so far this year.

How goes it girlfriends?

I stayed the same again...no loss, no gain. About half of the challenge participants have posted. I will wait one more day before I post our weekly results.

emoticon Sun on losing another pound. I stayed the same this week but maintaining is much better than a gain. I was so tired this week that my daily workouts lacked gusto. I also NEED to up my water intake. Overall, happy and proud to say that I have logged at least 30 minutes of exercise (in some way, shape or form) every day for the last 34 days. That is a huge achievement for me. I am doing a 100 day exercise challenge on 2 other teams and that is my driving force. There are challenges ahead but I am also planning ahead.

Still a tough time for me with much stress at home, work and no time to read, post, etc. I am eating better, but not getting enough exercise due to schedule. Feb looks like a Bear as well, but I will keep trying to find ways to sneak little bits of exercise in here and there and to become as consistent as I can be given the circumstances. Lost 1 pound this week!

Really pleasantly surprised to see my smaller number on the scale this morning! It went up for a few days (needing less sodium, more water and fiber I think...), so I was getting kinda worried. Glad my workouts have been getting me somewhere!

Great job SUN and BAMA. I managed to get my challenge "gain" off and get two tenths of a pound under my starting weight. Lordy that was some hard work! I too started the week with good workouts, but tapered off. I need to be more consistent like BAMA.

I am doing well with my exercise...I had really let that go for awhile. I am pleased and proud about this.
I really need to focus on getting more water. My eating has been OK. I have been SO busy at work that I am not snacking and surprisingly not that hungry at night. emoticon

The scale was good to me today. Down 2.6# so far on this challenge. I CAN DO THIS!

I started off the week (with a new job) strong, then slowly tapered off on my good fitness habits. I am not sure when might work best for my work-outs now. I tried to go one evening when I got home from work, and there were a ton of people in the fitness room. Not trying to make excuses, just need to figure out what works best with my new routine. The place I work out doesn't open til 8, so I may need to shell out about $150 (for a year - so cheap, but it's a lot all at once) for a more remote gym that's open earlier. Will discuss with the hubby.

Nutrition has been alright! Getting in routines will be key. And of course, watching out for weekends.

All in all, I lost another half a pound this week. Slow and steady...

I saw on TV last night where Dr. Oz is doing a challenge with a name similar to our challenge. Great minds! LOL!

I'm have a busy week...but doing better with eating. I'm hopeful for a better weigh in this week.

WTG SUN. I'm struggling. Having a long weekend for MLK day is making it hard, plus I didn't plan well and I don't have the foods I eat that I know are right for me. I need to go to the grocery store. Just being too lazy.

I am excited about how well my weekend eating went this time around! Didn't go to any restaurants, so I wasn't really tested, but I'm proud of myself nonetheless. :)

My weight was up, down, up and finally down. I have not been great with the eating but been consistent with the exercise. I consider that a big improvement. It is my intention to really be ingrained with the exercise habit and dig in harder with my eating habits after DS leaves. I think that my up & down weight this week can be (in part) attributed to sodium in the foods I was eating.

Seeing a loss this week inspires me though and I want to work harder at progress...another mental milestone. emoticon

This has been a very tough week at work and on the home front. I have not been able to get as much exercise as planned, and have had the nibbles, but managed to lose some weight anyway, (or maybe I am just dehdrated, ha ha!). The week coming up does not look much better, but I will try each day anew!Go Team!

Hey challengers...let's use this thread to chat about our progress and the other thread to post weekly weigh-ins. Post your weigh-in by editing your original post.

I am giving my body time to sodium detox before I post my starting weight. I don't know why...it's hard for me to acknowledge it in writing when my weight gets above 145. 145 is the 50 pounds lost mark for me. When I get above it I feel really lousy. If I'm not there by Friday...then it is what it is.
