Had a maintain this week followed by a Christmas dinner party...ham, turkey and all the fixings. Today the scale would mock me.

I need to get a new scale. It said I had lost 14 pounds in one week which isn't true. And when I stepped back on it said I had gain 6 pounds. I think it's worn out. LOL

The scale is going the wrong way for me...I am back over 140. Too many bad foods in the house post TG...and I have done some emotional eating this weekend cuz I miss my family and other things. Gotta get it together.

I had a tiny loss last week...4 tenths of a pound. But we had Ellie's party and Thanksgiving last weekend so the scale went right back up. I am trying, but the scale is not cooperating. My dd left oreo cookies at my house and I have had...uh...hemmm..."several" every night. Those puppies are 50 calories EACH! I'm pretty sure I have figured out what the problem might be! TeeHeeHee!

No trumpets but a tiny emoticon as I did go down .4# to 154.6# this week. I am encouraged and that is a great feeling.

Dottie, I think you have a great plan in mind by breaking up your walk into manageable pieces. Did you try it today?

I found out this wk that I have to lose 15 lbs to have back surgery. I really need to get it off by January. I'm trying but it gets harder when I can't walk very far. I had wanted to walk 2 miles a day but I'm afraid to get that far from home. I can walk half a mile 4-times-a-day. I'm going to try starting tomorrow!!!

Thanks for posting BAMA and LANUZIE. I do better during the week, too. Maintaing my weight through the weekend is a BIG win for me. I did okay this past weekend. Next weekend will be harder, Ellie's Bday party on Saturday and our family Thanksgiving meal on Sunday. I will try really hard. SO wanna get below 135 again!

Weighed in yesterday and am down 1 pound! Did 2 days of C25K and need day 3 is today, plus 2 days of tennis. Alas, only did one day of resistance training and did not log my eating except for water and fruit/veg servings. Shall strive to do bette with those this week. Good luck to all. I would really like to break through the 155 barrier this week and the 150 barrier by xmas.....

I am starting at 155# emoticon emoticon emoticon

After a long pause with my exercise, I did get in 3 decent workouts this week. I had exercise planned for at least one day this weekend but unexpected company arrived Friday and just left a little while ago. Still I have been maintaining this weekend which is not bad. I always make the best progress during the week.

Hope your week goes well and look forward to hearing from you so we can share our progress.

Hey everyone, I've been out-of-touch for awhile and the same 5 lbs go up and down. I WANT THEM DOWN FOR GOOD. I'm in for 9 lbs in 9 wks. I'm starting to record my food every day. I'm getting an MRI on my knee Tuesday; so my walking has slowed. I have a torn meniscus. I'm still moving around, walking the dog.

Sorry I didn't log in on Fri (I've been offline for a couple of weeks) but my starting weight is 164.2 (I was baaad during my time away from the computer). I would like to weigh 157 by 1/11/11. I'm trying to be realistic for the holiday season- last year was my first year ever to lose weight during Nov and Dec and that was only 3 lbs, so wish me luck!

I definitely need all the motivation I can get. Life challenges have been very strenous since school started at the end of August, and I am exhausted. I had been maintaining, but last 2 weeks exercise was way down, eating was a little up, and I was afraid to get on the scale, so I didn't. Luckily, the damage was only 1.5 pounds, but considering how slow my weight loss it, I don't want to lose any more ground. My goal is to weigh 149 by 1/11/11. That is 7.5 pounds away, which will be tough for me, but not if I can stick with my previously posted plan to: 1. Do the C25K training 3 days per week. 2. Be consistent with resistance training 15 minutes 3 days per week 3. Record all my food at least 3 days per week. 4. Continue to aim for 250 minutes of aerobics per week. 5. Continue to get my water, fruits and veggies...

OK! I am definitely in! We have 9 weeks. I will aim to lose 9 pounds, putting me at 142.5 for Jan 11.
By Thanksgiving, I want to be at 149, and for Christmas, 145 will put me on track to reach my overall goal. Let's do this!

Okay Pensacola Team...the holidays are officially upon us and it is time to amp it up so we don't lose our momentum. We started the year well...let's end it well!

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
This goal for this challenge is up to you.
1. You may choose to maintain. This is a great goal since most people gain 5-7 pounds throughout the holiday season.
2. You may choose to lose an average of 0-2 pounds a week. (This is one of my goals.)
3. You may choose a set number of pounds. (Also a goal for me...5 pounds of vacation weight gain to lose...then 10 more pounds)
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The goal date for this challenge is 1/11/11. A pretty cool date, huh? This will get us through the new year and give us recovery time from any New Year's mishaps (which I am very likely to have).
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So post your starting weight and goal here by Friday, November 12 if you are in! It will be up to you to keep up with your goals and progress and post on this thread at least once a week. I will also send out a team email.
