I am definitely game! Health things aren't going so well for me. I am going to start logging all my food! I think while I'm still out here in California with someone else cooking for me I will continue with the goals I mentioned before. When we get home, though, I will start logging Tuesday! Maybe I'll be here more often seeking support. I sure need something. So yes, Carol! Let's for sure do something for the holidays.

Yesterday I was 134.8, but today I was 135.2, so that's what I will count as my weigh-in. I lifted weights and my muscles are sore. I hear your muscles retain water when they are sore from lifting.

Sore muscles aside...I lost another whole pound this week!

We leave for Vegas on Wednesday (YIPPEE!!!), so I will miss the last weigh in for this challenge. I will catch everything up when I return and we will start something new for the holidays if y'all are game.

323 lbs. I gained 2 pounds which I think is water weight since I ran out of my diuretic pills and just yesterday got a new prescription. Oh well.

Congrats on the great progress everyone! Karlotta, I think only .4 up is pretty good (and my scale wouldn't even register that - haha)! You're still such a good inspiration and role model. :) I am still having a hard time over here, but not giving up! Hubby and I are going out of town to see family for a few days this week, so I am setting some goals:
-2/3 dinner plate should be full of veggies!
-only tiny servings of any carbs
-look for fruit for snacks (or more veggies)
-exercise at least every other day
-drink half the alcohol everyone else does
I'll report back on how I did!

Wow! You guys did great last week. I'm a little worried about tomorrow because I haven't been as good with my diet a couple of days (or 4??) this week. Yesterday and today are freggie-filled and lots of water so my fingers are crossed.
Carol- You are so dedicated, I'm sure you will hit your 135 mark before Vegas!
SunLover- I've been getting in some ST while sitting or lying down and my upper body is getting stronger from using those crutches (not how I would have preferred strengthening my arms, but it definitely works).
DAP- I hope it's another great week for you.

I get to claim another half pound...137.2. Hoping to get anywhere below 135 before I go to Vegas on October 27th.

Wow Karlotta! That is really impressive considering your surgery. I saw you went to WalMart. :) Can you get any upper body exercise or are you totally immobile? Must've been nice to get out in the nice weather regardless.

Congratulations DAP! That is so great!

I was able to weigh myself every day this week and it was like a rollercoaster. Carol, I do think a lot of it is sodium, but I'm sure it is also some other stuff (like being sedentary allll day one day, then going for a 2-mile run the next?). I also need to be consistent with fiber and water. I am just dealing with a lot of mental issues right now and ugh, it has been a hassle. Hope you guys had a successful week!

SUN...do you track sodium? I have found that is a must for me...too much and I gain, no matter how much I work out or how low my calories are.

SunLover- I really think it's easier to get outside for fun exercise when the weather is cooler, I just HAD to get as much in as much exercise as possible before it got cool enough to actually enjoy it.

162.4 down 1.4 (This was my weight Tues Am before surgery- I can't stand on the scale yet, so I REALLY, REALLY hope it goes down some more or at least doesn't go up any. I'm trying hard to stay in my calorie range.).

Everyone is doing great!(as far as I'm concerned, ONLY gaining half a pound after traveling is fantastic- I have more trouble with car trips than anything else!). emoticon
I had my foot surgery today so now I'm laying in bed trying to not fall asleep again. DH gave me a pain pill about 30 minutes ago, so I'm losing the battle right now.....

Trying to get back on track after a long weekend traveling (put on a few pounds, got rid of *most* of that weight again...), but I am up a half pound. Hey Hotties!
My goal is to get at least 30 min of cardio every day until my foot surgery and I have done well so far (today was a long day at work, so I did exactly 30 min of stepping and not a single minute more when I got home). I hope this will make a difference on next Friday's weigh in.

Whoa, 170! I think once I stopped obsessing and just kept in the habit of running and exercising or doing something each day the weight is coming off. I noticed that I can see my collarbone again, but unfortunately I also have to get new bras (why is it that's one of the first areas to go on me??? thats good fat!!) Oh well, good luck everyone!

Oops! I woke up yesterday thinking it was Friday, so I weighed again today and I'm at 167.2- only 0.2 up. Hopefully, I'll flush out the rest of the salty food today!!
Everyone is doing so great- I've already done 50 min of low impact stepping today, and I'll try to get more in later since I work 12 hrs tomorrow and next weekend I work both days!

Yano I stole this challenge from the Fat Wives Club team. I don't really like the rule that you are out if you don't lose or maintain. We all have a bad week now and then. I'd like to restate the rules and allow people to say in if they wanna, even if they gain. We can still reward the biggest loser and anyone who gets through the whole thing without a gain.

Also, I don't care if you are late weighing in. I can see where that is helpful when you have lots of participants. There's just a few of us...not too much to keep up with.

The point is to stick with this...get through the bumps and get right back on it...not give up when you hit a snag.

Hope you guys don't mind my flexibility.

Going out of town later, so weighing in this morning. I am still at 153. I think without some football-related eating and a meal out I could've lost. Ah, well, I'll take the maintaining this week! I went for a good long walk/run yesterday! Finished week 6 of couch to 5k and it is an exciting feeling! I can now "jog" more than a mile and a half without stopping. Will have to work a lot more than two more weeks to get 5k-ready, but my goal is within my sights!!!

I track my food almost every day. I don't stay in my calorie range every day (I take one planned day a week 'OFF'-and sometimes a non-planned day). I see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow for my bunion (not a word I thought I'd use before I turned 50) and after that, hopefully, I'll be able to start again with the C25K training. Wish I could run/walk with you guys at the park but I have company coming over, so I got in a nice walk with the dog this morning (can hardly wait to be able to wear closed shoes again).

Ok ladies...y'all are rockin' it!

I posted my Saturday weight last week (140.4)...and not my Friday weight(141.4. {Posted late...remember?} So I only lost .4 pound last week. This week is a maintain for me. I had to fight hard, but somehow I managed to get back to the same weight after a 4-day weekend. The really crazy part is...I was doing fine until Monday. We went out for dinner and that was all it took for the scale to fly right back up. This week will be better...I promise!

Okay guys...I'm late with my post, so I can't win the challenge, but I still wanna participate. My weigh-in this week is 140.4. I'm down 1.4 pounds. I'm headed to my excel file to get all your weights entered.

I've never done a challenge before, so do we post our weight here everyday or somewhere else? 282 is mine. My frog is lying but I can't figure out how to change it, I've been coming to spark a while but not doing much participating. Thanks

Today's the official start day: 174. Can't wait to get out of the 170's for good. Heading to the gym today to run (still too hot to run outside), then do 2 killer half hour classes - Gut Cut and Muscle Maxx. Good way to start off the holiday weekend. Good luck everyone!!

174, Okay here I am, day 1. It is a shame that just a few months ago I was almost 10 lbs lighter. Hopefully this challenge will motivate me. Started Zumba classes this week, so that should kick my butt into gear. Good Luck everyone.

329 pounds. I stayed the same from last week's weigh in which is okay since it's been a stressful week. I usually gain since I tend to eat when stressed.

Can't believe how much my weight has crept up on me this summer. I am job hunting now, so sitting at the computer a lot more - metabolism seems to be slowing down!

I am starting at 154.

Going out of town this weekend, so I'm gonna have to work extra hard to stay in!

OK Carol this is perfect. I have been doing really well on my Couch to 5K workouts, but I need accountability on calorie intake. It would be so great to have this keeping me going. I am in! I will post my start weight a little closer to the 3rd. Let's do this!
