FINALLY I saw the scale move this week. Perseverance pays off! I am doing better with my weekend eating, but I still go a little over on Friday, Sat and usually Sunday too. I can't live in a bubble and never relax! I am trying to burn 500 calories most every day. Added two more running days to my schedule, plus the Saturday mall walk. It's making a difference.

I thought I would lose weight easily this summer (no teaching stress) but I found myself indulging instead. After my trip to Chicago (no guilt about indulging on a vacation) I decided to get serious, but it's slow. I have been getting plenty of exercise and have been staying in my calorie range, but the pounds are resisting going away. I think it's because I have weighed this amount for years and years, and my body is very happy with it. I really want to stick with it now, and get past this tough spot!

My weight stays the same, even though I am working out more...and eating about the same. I feel fitter afer doing the 30 day shred. I am going to keep it up, at least M-F.

I feel like I am keeping my own little weekly journal in this thread.

Tell me how you are doing this summer...good or bad. If we talk about it, maybe we can make some progress.

I am making a tiny bit of progress, but it has been really tough! I range 19-20 points a week...always going over my calories on the weekend. So, obviously, that's the problem.

I wonder if I will ever have the courage to do something about it????

I gained 2.5 pounds on my trip. I ate some good food, worked out every day, and tried to get at least 8 cups of water a day.

I even ran a 5K in Hollywood, FL...and came in last place...read my blog I posted yesterday.

This week starts a very serious committment for me to get back to 130ville. It is clear that the barrier has been too many calories. I am going back to eating exactly what I ate last summer. It's all recorded right here in SP. No excuses for me any more!

17 out of 21 points again this week. I missed working out one day and ate too many calories 3 out of 7 days. I did not lose any weight this week...I think it is pretty obvious why.

This coming week I will be at a conference in Ft. Lauderdale. I have a plan for working out...getting enough water will be a challenge...eating right will be an even bigger challenge.

For the week (Sat to Fri), out of 21 possible points, I earned 17 points. I missed working out 3 days and went over my calories 1 day.

My total now is...who knows??? I have lost track. Oh well, at least I know to shoot for 21 points a week and where I need to do better.

I did not lose weight this week...discouraging yes, but I did get through some social situations without gaining.

I only earned 2 points Saturday (exercise and water), and no points on Sunday. As usual, the weekends are my downfall.

My score for June 1st is 2 points. I'm not sure about my calories. My daughter wanted to treat me to lunch today and use a coupon she had. It limited my choices, but I couldn't resist spending time with her.

Nancy...my 6 pounds has ballooned to 10 pounds. How does that happen so quickly??? Dang birthdays!!!

I think I will stick to what we have been doing, since the active membership on this team is so small. Challenge yourself to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Pick a day to weigh in and post your progress here.

Here's something new...
Give yourself a point per day for meeting these 3 goals:

1. Fitness (either cardio or strength training)
2. Staying within your calorie range
3. Drinking at least 8 cups of water

If you do all three, your score is 3. If you do 2, that's 2 points, and 1 is one point. Keep up with your total score in this thread. Let's see if this helps us see results. We'll think of something special to do for the Pensacola Sparker with the most points at the end of August.

Hey Carol, I'm going to send you an invite to the main team so you can get an idea of what its like. In the main team, you just ask to be added to a summer team, then you will get another private invite. My team, the lemons, are going to be tracking weight, cardio, and strength each week. That's all I know about it so far.

Yes, everybody keeps track of their own points and posts them. The member just edits the original post. There is also a team leader for each team.

In one of my summer challenges, we are breaking down into weekly challenges. This weeks challenge is nutrition. You get a max of 20 points per day. 10 points for logging all your food and an additional 10 points for staying within your calorie range. I love it, b/c my hardest part in weightloss is not being so greedy with food.

There is a biggest loser challenge coming up on June 5th too. You should join. I'm not sure how they pick the teams, but I could ask my team leader if she could invite you to ours if it's not too full already. It's June 5th - Aug 15.

I need ideas for a summer challenge. Any thoughts? I need somethiing that will keep me on track. I'm up 6 pounds from where I like to be and it is driving me nuts. I work out every day, lift weights, too. If I get off track with my eating the slightest bit...I gain so fast!
