Way to go..see how this works if you are consistent and do your best. Losing 5-6 pounds a month will get you to your goal in a safe and healthy way! I'll set up the thread for next month's challenge in the morning.

Well I had my official weigh in yesterday. Somehow (I'm not quite sure how it happened) I weighed in at 214. I started the challenge at 220, so I've lost 6 lbs this month!
I'm looking forward to meeting the next challenge. And congrats to everyone else that made the challenge this month as well.

My weigh-in was today and I lost 1.6 pounds this week. I did have the help of a colonoscopy prep. Go to my page and read my blog about it. I took all the mystery out of it. Just call me the Katie Couric of SP.
So I am finishing this challenge with a total of 7.8 pounds lost for the month of August. Doing these little challenges has been so helpful to me. It makes me accountable. I don't want to let the team down. I am less than 10 pounds from my next goal. I'm looking forward to dropping more in Sexy September!

Any loss is most definitely cause for celebration! I managed to lose two more pounds over the weekend so that leaves me with less than a week to lose two more pounds and meet my goal at the beginning of this challenge. The challenge will be this coming weekend because my husband and I are driving down to Miami on Saturday and coming back Monday.

Well, I weighed in yesterday at the gym and I'm down to 217...I started at 220, so I need to loose 2 more pounds to meet the challenge. I'm not sure if that's doable, but hey...any loss is cause for celebration.

5 pounds lost since the beginning of this challenge so I am at 234. I really really wanted to be down to 230 by the end of the month but I just don't see it happening.

Yes...keep it up. You gotta be consistant. For me even one slip (meaning one meal away form my plan) sets me back so far that it has just gotten to the point that it's not worth it. It is just not worth it. That's a good idea to keep a record of those body fat and BMI assessments. I keep it recorded on my sparkpage. I don't have the ones from the beginning and now I wish I did.

Congrats on the weight loss. YOu're definitely going to make that goal this month.
I on the other hand....lol. I initially lost some weight (I was at 118) and then gained it back, so now I'm at 220 again. Oh well....
Tomorrow I'm going back to the gym to be re-evaluated. They'll take all my measurements again, and test my body fat. I don't remember the measurements off hand, but I'm going to ask for a copy of the evaluation so that I'll have them to share. I do remember that my body fat was 37%. Hopefully that's changed for the better.
I do know that my measurements have changed just since I've been taking them, and I have to remind myself it's only been about 6 weeks. But I want to see the pounds go down, darn it!

Ok friends, I dropped a whopping 3.6 pounds this week...I don't get it, I know it's too fast, but I'm not going to argue. It appears I have found the formula that works for me. It's becoming so ingrained in me that this almost feels easy. Easy???? What did I just say???? Don't give up...keep pressing on. You can do this. If I can do this...you can do this.

I did my second weigh-in for this challenge today. I'm at 144.6, so that's a loss of 1.8 pounds. I missed 4 days of exercise because of my back and hip, but I really watched what I ate, mostly fruits and veggies. And, of course, I'm drinking my water. I really hope I can start exercising again soon. I think what triggered my back problem was the jarring from running on the treadmill last Sunday. From now on I plan to stick to the elliptical and my spin classes, and lighten up on the lower body weight-lifting. I gotta take care of my back. This pain is NOOOOO fun!

Suzanne,
I keep a log of my weekly weights for the challenges on my page so I know how much I lose. Plus, it's encouraging to see the progress. Congrats on losing 10 pounds!

Barbra and Carol! Way to hit your goals.
I had a nice loss last week but I am maintaining this week. No complaints actually. One improvement that I can make is to start tracking my food - I mentally watch and plan what I eat but I have no real idea how many calories I am consuming. Shame on me

I'm in....my starting weight (as of yesterday) is still 220....lost that first five pounds, and then stalled. So hopefully I can meet the challenge in August.
And good luck...let's go team!

Like we have to try to do that in P'cola! It's a new month, so time to make a new start, set new goals to accomplish. I lost my 5 pounds in July and I am ready to lose 5 more. Eat within your calorie range! Drink your water! Exercise at least 30 minutes a day! Let's go team!
