Suzanna, you are proving that we can't make excuses--it is possible to practice the healthy habits no matter where we are. GREAT willpower girl!!

I think 5 lbs. a month is totally reasonable but then I have 81 pounds left to lose reportedly making it a bit easier for me to lose than people who have twenty or less to lose. I still can't believe that I lost 4 lbs. last week while I was on vacation.

Saturday is my official weigh-in day, although I weigh myself every day. I lost 2.6 pounds this week for a total of 6.4 pounds lost so far for the month. I also lost an inch in my hips, waist and thighs this week. I would say this was a very good week!

Let's start thinking about a challenge for August. It helps me so much when I know there are others who are in this journey with me. Is 5 lbs a reasonable monthly weight-loss goal for everyone?

Down three pounds since last week so 242 lbs. which may not be "valid" since I am on vacation this week. I have lost my three pounds since I got here because I have been able to eat healthy and there are stairs here to go up and down quite a bit. We will see how I do the remainder of the week.

It's so hard when you travel to stay on track. We haven't heard from our Cyndi in a while...she's been on the road all summer!

I lost 1.2 pounds this week, so I'm at 3.8 pounds for the July challenge.

Thank you so much Carol and Nancy! You gals are so GREAT! I appreciate the support and encouragement. I am worried about actually losing 5# in July because I am going to Maine this Saturday and return the following Saturday. I will have my computer and internet access so I plan to stay active on here but I don't know how closely I'll be able to track my food, etc. compared to my usual routine.

THANKS AGAIN!! emoticon

I have only done 2 out of 3, the exercise and the water this week. I am pretty sure that I was above my calorie range on Thursday. I also didn't track "everything" Wednesday or Friday. As a result of this non compliance, I am up three pounds. BUT, I am BACK ON TRACK today. Today is a new day and I am feeling GOOD and strong! Maybe just maybe I will get off this weight that should be water and maybe just maybe a little more before weigh-in time on Monday. I think it's Monday, hmm now I'm not sure.

I met all the challenges this week except for calories yesterday, and I am at 195 - a 2 pound loss. I'm hoping the higher calories yesterday will keep me from hitting a plateau, and that I'll continue to lose next week!

That's an excellent point, but doesn't help when you want instant gratification. Sigh... if it were only as easy to lose as it is to gain.

But, having said that, to quote Dr. Bob Kelso (from "Scrubs") "nothing is this world that's worth having comes easy."

Yes Suzanna...that's fine. I added a little section to my page so I can keep up with how I'm doing.

Cyndi...It's so hard to do good when you are traveling. The fact that you have stayed in touch with SP the whole time is amazing.

It's been tough weekend...I've wanted to munch, too. I've eaten a TON of watermelon!

Sounds good to me. I had every intention of staying on track during our moving travels from from Pensacola to Washington State but I have been VERY BAD for the past week or so. The scales are going up and down a couple of pounds every few days. I have got to snap out of this phase and get "sparking" again.
This team has been such great support for me. I have slacked off on my exercising and logging in the food I eat. Then only thing I have keep up is drinking lots of water.
I have to do this!

Well, I have added all the goals except the strength training - I just can't seem to do that, ever! I don't mind aerobics because I can do my water aerobics class or walk for 30 minutes.

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I just couldn't resist the urge to snack all day long! I felt like my stomach was a large hole that needed to be filled up. I didn't have hunger pangs, it was just an odd feeling of needing to eat. emoticon

Thanks Heather...looks like you got the goal added. Ya'll should join the goals on the team page so you can track them. They are much easier to track under "other goals" now that the check box option has been added.

Heather...I think I changed the strength training goal without realizing you and Suzanna were tracking it. If you are not OK with the change, put it back the way it was (30 minutes 1 time per week). I apologise...got carried away. I promise to leave the team goals up to you from now on.

Those are good goals and I will give it a try but the exercise may be a problem for a few days. I have a couple of stitches in my thigh as of Thursday and I will only be able to do abs and arms for a few more days. Thanks for getting us started.

Well I tried to add the eat within your calorie range goal, but I couldn't figure out a way to do it the way they have it set up now. The other 2 are already there. If you can figure it out Heather, go ahead.

Just do what you can BB...it's tough when you travel. I'm still trying to lose the weight I gained in PA. I finally bit the bullet and raised my ticker today. I hate to do that, but I also hate losing 3 pounds and not being able to record it.

I can try, but I am probably going to be visiting my ex in Oklahoma for a week or two (no definite date set, but soon) and I'm not sure I'll be able to stick to those goals. I will have to start with the same weight I've been at for a while as my starting weight - 197. It seems like I have been losing and gaining the same 2 pounds for a long time!

Any one up for losing 5 pounds in the month of July? That's a little more than a pound a week. Here's the plan...do these 3 things:

1. Exercise 30 minutes (at least)5 days a week (or more)
2. Stay within your recommended calorie range 7 days a week
3. Drink at least 8 cups of water every day.

That's it...by July 31st...we'll be at least 5 pounds closer to our goals. Anyone in? If so, post your starting weights here and post a weigh-in once a week. I'm starting at 152.8.
