It is motivating to be so close...I hear those last few pounds are the hardest. I actually intend to try to get to 130. I look at my body and see so much that needs improvement!

For those of you who are new...we started this challenge to lose 20 pounds in 10 weeks (by July 4th). It's not too late to join...just set your own goal for that date. We'll start a new challenge after this is done...be thinking of ideas!

I'm going to step it up over the next 3 weeks and do cardio twice a day; 30 minutes in the am followed by the swimsuit boot camp videos and more strength training exercises, then my usual one hour heavy-duty cardio in the pm, spinning and step classes. I will be flying to PA for a wedding on June 19th. DH's nephew. I would love to be solidly below 150 by then.

My weight loss is s-l-o-w and I have gotten lazy about walking. Maybe I will be able to stick with this better after school is finally out. It seems like this year is just dragging itself out!

I will go ahead and claim a 2 pound loss now, but that's really over a 2 week period.

2 pounds a week is just the right pace for that challenge, Psychnurse, so I think you are doing great! You are probaby adding some muscle with all that working out!

I think water is my problem. I just can't drink enough while at school, and I tend to retain water because of that. Going out to dinner on Fridays with the Singletons isn't helping much either... emoticon

If I used yesterday's weigh-in, I could claim to have lost 2 pounds, but this morning they were back! I don't feel comfortable claiming a loss unless it shows 2 or 3 days in a row - my weight bounces around too much!

I'm glad you guys have accepted the challenge. Shall we say the 10 weeks started ths week and ends July 4th? Independence Day! How does that sound? Set your weekly goals for water, calories and exercise. We'll also set some team goals as Heather said in her spark mail. This team is coming alive and I am very happy about that!

I could certainly give it a try, but my ability to resist temptation has not been too good lately, and I haven't been exercising at all! Maybe we should have some kind of reward at the end - maybe get together somewhere to show off our thinner selves to each other?

I just started going to the Pensacola Singletons Friday night dinners, so that will make a challenge really challenging!

I am currently doing a 20 pounds in 10 weeks challenge on another team, Parrothead Sparkers. We started this month and will end mid June. The goal is to lose pounds or inches and do it together, really supporting one another. We can do this challenge on this team as well. Heather and Courtney already said they wanted to do this.
