i am planning on every day being a sunshiney day, but even if it isnt, i am still going to go ride. i might not go as far, but i will at least do the short loop around the block which is about 5.5 miles. i might get some fenders for the rainy weather. i am NOT crazy about having dirty water splashed on my backside!

12-26-2009 202 3-30-2010 192 joined Spark 3/24 3-15-2011 160 finally made my goal weight! I managed to gain 10 pounds in 2013. so I have to RE-lose plus make my new goal weight of 150 in 2014. new goal! 2015, lose the 10 pounds from 2013 and lose the 5 pounds from 2014. and lose the original 10 that I wanted to lose in 2014. that means I have to lose 25 pounds now! I think I can do it!

I like your determination, I have not rode in the rain yet. I just do not want to do that yet. becaue I do not want my bike to get wet.. LOL but I am hopeful that there are some more good sunny days like there were this weekend..
I have discovered thrift stores and Target. A friend shops a lot at thrift stores and took me with her. I don't want to spend a lot on clothes I think I will only be in for a short time. I do spend on shoes and wicking underwear but try to find deals on other things. Some bike store on line are having sales now like Nashbar. I think REI gives you a discount if you sign up for their email list. I am a brand new rider. I picked up my terratrike rover 8 on Saturday.

Oh Sister I hear you loud and clear! I check the weather every am to see if I can ride. Today is gloomy and slightly damp, but I'm going to give it a try. Last winter I took spinning classes at the gym. I started with one day a week and got so addicted that I was doing 4 days/week before April's fair weather arrived. That would be a great option for you! All else fails you can use an exercise bike to keep your level of fitness. If you don't have a gym membership or a bike yourself, maybe a friend has one. I was using my neighbor's rowing machine and finally bought my own. I love having it at home. Here's to as many pedals pushed as we can!

The weather is turning fast here ~ one day it's sunny, the next the wind and rain are blowing sideways. I've really enjoyed riding my bike home from work since school returned in September. It's about 10km and a wonderful way for me to decompress after the day. I'm going to be a "fairweather" cyclist tho' until I can afford better cycling clothes that will see me through. It's funny how our priorities change....I now look at every sunny day as a cycling day to enjoy, and instead of saving for something frivolous ~ I'm saving for those all weather cycling duds that will allow me to be out in the rain and wind! I don't want to put my bike away just yet!!!!!!
