Anyone within driving distance of Bloomington Indiana should put the Hilly Hundred on their "to do" list. It was quite hilly, but so much fun. Day 1 was 57 miles, day 2 was 49 miles (with a 39 mile option). It was very well organized, and the rest areas had wonderful refreshments. There were live bands at each rest stop, and the camaraderie made it worth it alone!
It sounds scary, but is not a race, you can take your time and enjoy the sights!
sounds fun A! we have plenty of hills in Tennessee. i have been avoiding as many as possible since my 50 miler a few weeks ago. i do not envy you the hills. I am glad that you have a riding companion. that is a long way to go with a group that you don't know. Enjoy and post back about it when you have finished.
Don't complain about the results you didn't get for the fitness you didn't do!
My cousin and I are going to do the Hilly Hundred in Indiana in two weeks. It's two days 50mi each day. I'm really looking forward to it....minus the HILLY part. Has anyone ridden this before are they really as bad as it sounds?
