The name of the ride was "Cycle Challenge," I'm looking at doing a supported ride per month for July, Aug., and September. I have August and Sept rides picked out (7 Bridges in Albany, OR and Sept "Peach of a Century" in Salem. There is a ride in Bend, OR mid-July but not sure yet if I can make that one. I may have to do a local unsupported long ride, and have my husband on call if something goes awry.

Great job on the miles! I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about (challenge) but any miles are good miles. I've been increasing my mileage in preparation of a century July 30 and the shorts are great. They don't really help me with the bruised feeling though. Anyone have thoughts on that? I'm guessing it is just a matter of time in the saddle to grow accustomed to the pressure....

Great job on that ride! I really miss this time of the year in the states. For the last two years I did those kind of events. We don't have them here in Germany though. 35 miles at 12 mph is great too! Keep pedaling!

I highly recommend those padded shorts. Check out some at some online sites. Ordered up a bigger size as they run small to me. Aero Tech Cycling is a very reasonably priced site.

This is in Salem, OR and I did the "short" ride of 35 miles. I did a great average speed, for me, of 12.2mph. This is my longest ride so far this year, so my bum is really feeling it. Wondering if I can find real bike shorts to help with this particular issues. Feeling great though!
