I agree as well - once a crossfitter always a crossfitter. Life will throw you curves that sidetrack a lot of our desires and activities. It happens. Like some of the others, I do the CF workouts at home or at a regular gym - you can modify and scale pretty much everything.
Just do what needs to be done to keep your husband on the road to recovery. You have been a great team leader and, isn't it obvious?, we don't want to lose you!

I didn't go to crossfit for two months because of my shoulder, but I didn't leave the team. Nor did I feel compelled to. I agree, once a crossfitter always a crossfitter.

Optimism is the best gift you could ever give to yourself.

I've slowly been turning my shop into a gym. I already had a bench, and a plethora of assorted weights. Last weekend I built 3 plyo boxes for box jumps. 10", 12" and 16" so far. I have the wood for the 20" and the 24", but haven't built them yet. Today I'm going out to get some supplies to build pull-up bars at assorted heights. At some point I'll post some pics. It's all good!

I agree. Once a Crossfitter, always a crossfitter. Plus, just because you are a member of a traditional gym doesn't mean you can't do the CFHQ WODs.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.

I haven't been to Crossfit in 2 months. Money is tight. When I brought this up before you said let us know what you are doing anyway, it's interesting to others. So I would say "Once a Crossfitter, always a Crossfitter", even if just in spirit. I don't think you ever lose that CF mentality, regardless of where you work out.

I can not go to Crossfit for two months because my husband has hurt himself. We have joined 24 hour fitness instead.

Since I am a team leader and I do not crossfit should I step down? Or should we consider redefining our team to be all inclusive exercise and not just Crossfit?
What are your thougths?
