Hi Carlene,
Thanks for your kind thoughts. It's been over 3 weeks and no news is good news from my dermatologist. So the mole was not melanoma, thank goodness. I go every 6 months for mole check now with my dermatologist. Have a nice 4th of July!

Thanks for this thread and video, it's so important and I too wish I'd know what I know now. With SPF nothing for sun protection we were truely putting ourselves at risk without knowing it.

Have a Happy 4th of July and keep the sun screen in hand.

Nathanne, what were the recent results? I'm praying good results.

Take care, Carlene

Hi Sadie May,
Thanks so much for sharing this. I'm so sorry about your struggle with this. Back when we were kids nobody even thought of melanoma. It was just cool to have a nice tan. What a price to pay for laying in the sun.

Two weeks ago I had a mole taken off the top of my head. My hairdresser found it. I could never have seen it under my hair. I'm waiting for the pathology report, and I'm hoping it's just a mole, not melanoma.

This is my third go round in less than a year. The mole on my leg was positive for melanoma, but it was caught before it spread. I had two moles taken off my face, but they were negative, so no problem, and now I'm waiting for the results for the one on my scalp.

Take care, and be well.
Hugs,
Nathanne

Dear 16 year old me,

I wish I knew that all those sunburns would have caused melanoma. I would not have gone through the hell of multiple surgeries and chemo for a year, well almost a year until my body could not take it anymore.

It is so easy to take care of your skin. Please take the time to view this video and share with your family and friends.
