December 16 - - A New Christmas

If you recall when you were a kid it seemed as if Christmas would never come. We would spend hours looking in the catalog at all the gifts we were hoping to get. Week after week, day after day just waiting,

In the garden God created man and woman. He gave them everything in the garden except one tree and that was the tree of good and evil. We all know how the story goes Eve ate of the fruit of the tree and then gave it to Adam and because they ate of this tree and disobeyed God they were driven from the garden and separated from God.

But a promise was given, a promise that God would send a redeemer. Over and over in the bible God gave the promise of a redeemer. So they waited and waited and waited. Over 2,000 years they waited for that first Christmas morning when this promise of God would be fulfilled.

Then it happened.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. ”. Luke 2:10-11.

The angels were saying “Christmas is here”.

But now we have a new promise. The promise of the return of Jesus. A promise of a new Christmas.

John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

And so again we wait.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the men in our church will have a powerful impact on its ministries, and that they will provide godly leadership in their homes, the church, and throughout the community.

December 15 - - Lighting of the 3rd ADVENT CANDLE

The third Advent Candle is pink it is called THE SHEPHERD CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF JOY

The angels sang a message of JOY!
Luke 2:7-15 “…and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great JOY that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

The angel said “I bring you good news of great JOY’. The birth of Jesus should bring JOY into our lives. The birth of Jesus is God’s perfect gift of JOY to man.

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will bless the children of the church, protecting them from harm and helping them to grow strong in the Lord as they prepare for a lifetime of serving Christ.

December 14- - Christmas lights

John 1:5-9 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The good news of Christmas is that in the midst of a great darkness there came a Light, and the darkness was not able to overcome the Light. The Light was not just a flicker. It was an eternal Flame. The Christmas story affirms that whatever happens, the Light will still shine.

What does John mean by "the Light?" John is telling us that Jesus is the "true Light," and that He gives His Light to everyone. Jesus is the Light that shines in the darkness and the Light can never be extinguished. Jesus came to bring this Light to you and to me so that we would not walk in darkness.

So the next time you light the tree at Christmas and see the majesty of its lights stop and think on what these lights are saying.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the youth in our church will stand strong for Christ in their schools and with their friends. Ask God to help each young person to follow His plan for their lives, both now and in the years to come.

December 13 - -The Christmas tree

Why do we celebrate Christmas with a Christmas Tree?

The evergreen tree is a symbol of life in the midst of winter. Many believe that the first Christmas Trees were hung upside down from the ceiling using chains or from the chandelier.

The first person to bring a Christmas tree into the house was the 16th century German preacher Martin Luther. A story is told that, one night before Christmas, he was walking through the forest and looked up to see the stars shining through the tree branches. It was so beautiful, that he went home and told his children that it reminded him of Jesus who left the stars of heaven to come to earth at Christmas.

The first Christmas Trees were decorated with edible things, such as gingerbread and apples. Many today still decorate their tree with strung popcorn and cranberries.

It tells us in Isaiah 55:12, “all the trees of the field shall clap their hands”. Even a tree has its place in worship of the Lord Jesus Christ at this special time of the year. Just maybe that's why we call it a Christ----mas tree.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray for the shut-ins in our church, as well as those who are widowed and living alone. Ask God to bless and encourage them, anointing their lives with power for ministry as well as help for the needs they face daily.

December 12 - -Before the foundation of the world

1 Peter 1:20 "He [Christ] was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God."

The Bible tells us that even before God created the world and people in the world. Even before the first sin was committed God had already planned to send his son Jesus to redeem us.

Everything had to be in place. Nothing was done by chance. God had everything planed from the Shepherds in the field, to the angles, the star that led the wise men. From the decree that moved Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, even the inn keeper placing them in the stable. Every prophecy being fulfilled everything being in its place. Everything was planned right down to the smallest detail by God and it was all done before God created the world.

I don’t think we truly understand how awesome God truly is.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that believers throughout the church will grow in rela¬tionship with Christ as they follow the path of discipleship.

December 11- - Let's not forget the Inn keeper

Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Upon arriving in Bethlehem Joseph found that there was no room for them in the inn. Knowing that Mary was about to deliver Joseph know he had to find shelter for her.

Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

It was the angles that proclaimed to the shepherds where and how the baby Jesus would be found. “This will be a sign unto you” this is how you will know you have found the Christ.

It was the inn keeper that placed them in the stable. So even the inn keeper played a part in preparation for the birth of Christ

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that our church family will be united in our worship of God, fellowship with one another, and ministry to the community. Ask God to help believers confront and remove issues and problems that threaten this unity.

This is a post from November 18, 2013 stating that I would be reposting the Christmas post that I post each year. Again I say I hope they bless you as much as they bless me posting them. I pray that each of you have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.

November 18 - - His name shall be Jesus

From now till Christmas I will be posting in preparation for Christmas. I do this each year so I am sure you may have seen some of these posts before. It is my prayer that they will bless you again as they bless me each time I post them.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

December 10 - -Caesar Augustus’ part in the birth of Jesus

We must not forget Caesar Augustus and His part in preparation for the birth of Christ

Luke 2:1-4 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. - - - -And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

Mary and Joseph lived in Nazareth. Now the prophecy given to us in Micah tells us that the Christ would be born in Bethlehem.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

So Joseph and Mary had to be moved from Nazareth to Bethlehem so that this prophecy could be fulfilled. It was the decree from Caesar Augustus that brought this move about.

So we can see that even Caesar Augustus played a big part in the preparation of the birth of Jesus

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that strained or broken relationships, among families and friends as well as acquaintances, will be restored.

December 9 - - Angles also took a big part in the birth of Jesus

The angels played a big part in the birth of Jesus. First we have Michael the ark angel announcing to Mary that she was to have a child and His name was to be Jesus.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

An angel appeared to Joseph in a dream telling him that the child Mary was carrying we conceived by the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:19-20 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Then we have we have a multitude of angels filling the heavens announcing the birth of Jesus.

Luke 2:9-11 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God - - -,

Just how many angles took part in preparation for Jesus birth?

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that marriages and family relationships throughout the congregation will be strengthened.

December 8 - - Lighting of the Second Advent Candle

The Second Advent Candle is purple it is called THE BETHLEHEM CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF PREPARATION.

Preparation means to “get ready”.

Luke 3:4-6 “As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: ‘A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God’s salvation.‘

We do well preparing our homes for this day of celebration but how much time do we spend preparing ourselves?

We light the Second Advent candle today reminding us to prepare ourselves for this special day of celebration

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will help the pastoral staff develop strong relationships with other pastors and churches in the community, as we as with community leaders.

There sure is a difference between wise men and a wise guy!

The skyline has been the best I ever recall and I know for sure that God is leaving a message once more.

May God direct His people to see the babe Who is our Day Star.

7 December 7 - - The star of Bethlehem was shining

Matthew 2:1-9: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

Even the heavens joined in the celebration of the birth of Jesus. A star was placed in the heavens. Not an ordinary star but a very special star. A special star to announce the birth of Jesus. In second chapter of Matthew it is called “His star”. So we could be safe in saying that the name of the Star was the Star of Jesus. It was placed there for one reason and that was to lead and direct the Wise Men of the east to the stable in Bethlehem.

So we see that even the stars in heaven celebrated the birth of Jesus.

What do you think?

I would like for us to pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer.

2 Chronicles 714 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

December 6 - -Shepherds were keeping watch

Luke 2:8 “And shepherds were in the same region keeping watches by night over their sheep”

The first announcement of the birth of Jesus was made to shepherds. Why was it so important that the shepherds know that Jesus was born? It had to be important, or else why would God send a multitude of Angles to a group of lowly shepherds to announce the birth of His Son Jesus?

Could it have been that these were no ordinary shepherds? It is believed that these shepherds were keeping watch over the sheep that would be used in temple sacrifice. If this be so then the sheep that they were watching would need to be perfect in every way. So they would inspect the sheep and keep only those that were perfect.

Jesus was born to be that lamb, that perfect lamb, that lamb that would be sacrificed for the sin of the world. Would it not be fitting that the birth of this special lamb be announced to these special shepherds?

John 1:29 - - - Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will grant the pastoral leadership a strong sense of vision for His plans regarding the church and congregation.

December 5 - - John preached repentance

Matthew 3:1-2 In those days John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness of Judea, proclaiming, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."

John was preaching repentance, the shepherds were tending their sheep and the wise men were following a star. Everything is focused on the Birth of Jesus. I thought that for the next few days we might look at what took place at this special time leading up to the birth of Christ.

We spend a lot of time preparing for Christmas. Shopping, cleaning and decorating the house and I could go on and on and on but how much time do we spend getting ourselves ready for Christmas. Getting ourselves ready to celebrate the Birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

John was preaching repentance. Repentance means to change direction. Do we need to change direction in the way were living in preparation for Christmas?

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will grant the pastoral leadership vision and guidance regarding the ministry gifts and callings of each member of the congregation, that they might use those giftings to the fullness of their potential.

December 4 - - Sharing God’s Perfect Gift with Others

John 15:11-12 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

What happened to the days when the focus was on love and not gifts?

Do you recall those little gifts your children made for you with the elbow macaroni and construction paper? Ann and I still have a few of them. I have often said I was going to have some of them framed because they mean that much to us.

I found out a long time ago that it’s not so much how big the gift as much as it is how much love the gift is wrapped in.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will provide for the pastoral staff in areas of finances and other temporal needs.

December 3 - - My Christmas wish.

If I had a wish for this Christmas it would be for us to be silent.

“Zechariah 2:13 – - be silent before the LORD",

Zechariah tells us to be silent before the Lord. I think sometimes we become so busy preparing for Christmas that we miss the true meaning of Christmas.

Take time this year to stop, be silent and reflect upon Jesus after all isn’t this really what Christmas is all about,

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the pastoral leadership will be blessed with the guidance and anointing of the Holy Spirit in times of personal struggle or discouragement.

December 2 - - Care enough to send the very best

"When you care enough to send the very best" has been the slogan for Hallmark greeting cards since 1944. But meaning even goes back further than that.

When God gave His son Jesus to the world “God cared enough to give his very best”. Jesus. The Son of God was indeed the most treasured gift that God had. In the same way our children are our most treasured gift we have. Yet God chose to give Jesus to us on that very first Christmas day.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God cared enough to give His very best.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will provide pastoral leadership with strong friendships and fellowship, both at a local and district level.

December 1 The first Advent candle is let

Today we lite the first of the four candles on the Advent Wreath. The first candle to be let is the purple candle it is called THE PROPHECY CANDLE or CANDLE OF HOPE. We can have hope because God is faithful and will keep the promises made to us. Our hope comes from God.

Romans 15:12-13 And again, Isaiah says, ‘The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will hope in him.’

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Root of Jesse.
Jesus will rule over all nations.
Jesus is the Hope of the world.
Jesus is our Hope of Glory.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will help the pastoral staff develop strong relationships with other pastors and churches in the community, as we as with community leaders.

November 30 - -The Advent Wreath

The word Advent is Latin for “the coming”. It is a custom of the church to begin the celebration of Christmas with an Advent Wreath.

The Advent wreath is a circular garland of evergreen branches representing eternity. Set on the branches of the wreath are four candles: three purple candles and one pink candle. In the center of the wreath sits a white candle. As a whole, these candles represent the coming of the light of Christ into the world.

One candle on the wreath is lit each Sunday as a part of the Advent services. Each candle represents an aspect of the spiritual preparation for the coming of the Lord, Jesus.

Tomorrow the first Sunday of Advent, the first purple candle will be lit.

Pray for our Churche. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will grant the pastoral staff strong health, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

November 29 - - The first Christmas gift

The very first gift that was given on Christmas was not the gifts given by the magi. The magi, as you know, were wise men – wonderfully wise men – who brought gifts to the baby Jesus born in a manger in Bethlehem.

No the first gift that was given on Christmas was the gift given to the world by God.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This was the gift of eternal life that is found only in His Son Jesus. It says “whosoever believeth in Him will not perish, but have this eternal life”.

My question would by – do you “believeth in Him”.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will bless, strengthen, and guide the financial and administrative leaders within the church.

November 28 - - We can be THANKFUL FOR GODS GIFTS

JAMES 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We spend a lot of time looking for gifts at this special time of the year. Let us stop and look at the gifts that God has for us.

God sent his angels to care for us
God’s Holy Spirit to dwell in us
God’s church to encourage us
God’s word to guide us
Anytime we speak. God listens.
We make a request and God responds.
God will never let us be tempted too much or stumble too far.
Let a tear appear on our cheek, and God is there to wipe it.
Let a love sonnet appear on our lips, and God is there to hear it.
As much as we want to see God, God wants to see us even more.
We have been chosen by Christ.
Christ has claimed us as his beloved.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

What do you think?
Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will strengthen and bless family relationships among our pastoral staff.

November 27 - - Mary said: ‘My soul exalts the Lord’

Luke 1: 46
“And Mary said: ‘My soul exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His Name.’”

Mary was born of the house of David a little Jewish girl betrothed to a young man by the name of Joseph. She was humbly living in Nazareth doing what little Jewish girls do. No different form many Jewish girls of her time but when God stepped into her life He changed everything.

You know that is the way it is in our lives, too. When Jesus came He changes everything. Yes there is a change that takes place. We are no longer who we use to be. We are now a child of God. In the third chapter of John it is called “being born again”

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the lives of our pastoral staff will be marked by integrity and godliness.

November 26 - - Looking for that perfect gift for Jesus

Hosea 6:6 For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

Wow would you believe this. God is telling us that if He had to choose between your goodness and you giving Him a sacrifice, he would take your goodness. And if God had to choose between your knowledge of Him and an offering He would take your knowledge of Him.

So if you’re planning a gift for Jesus this year why not give Him what he wants. OBEDIENCE and KNOWLEDGE OF HIM

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the pastoral staff will remain bold in proclaiming spiritual truth, even when it is unpopular to do so.

November 25 - - Gift giving is a big part of Christmas

Matthew 2:11 And when they were come (the wise men) into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.

Gift giving is a very big part of Christmas but gift receiving is just as important. When we give a gift we are the one who is being blessed but when we receive a gift the other person is being blessed. Be a good receiver and allow God to bless the person giving you the gift.

I know that this is hard for us to do especially if the person is giving out of their need. But giving out of their need puts them in a place of receive out of Gods abundance.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that marriages and family relationships throughout the congregation will be strengthened.

November 24 - - The reason for Jesus dwelling among us

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Isaiah put it like this. He tells us in the following verse the reason and purpose of Jesus being God but becoming a man so He might dwell among us.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Wow – All of this is found in Jesus who is our salvation.

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that the pastoral staff will remain bold in proclaiming spiritual truth, even when it is unpopular to do so.

November 23 - - His name shall be Jesus

Matthew 1:21 - And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The name Jesus means salvation. The word salvation means forgiveness but is also means provision.

1 Samuel 2:1 - - - My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

This shows salvation as providing for our needs – God provides for all our needs – not just food for the table but also the job we work the rent or house payment, the car we drive and even the clothes on our back.

Salvation is God delivering us from troubles, insuring our welfare, providing for all of our daily needs and victory over trials in our lives and don’t forget forgiveness of our sin and eternal life in Heaven

All of this is found in the name of Jesus our salvation.

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will protect the hearts of our pastor staff and families against the deception and lure of impure thoughts and deeds.

November 22 - - His name shall be Jesus

Matthew 1:21 - And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The name Jesus means salvation. The word salvation means more than simply being saved from our sins or being saved for heaven.

(Psalm 62:6) 6 He (God) alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

This shows salvation as deliverance - deliverance from the power of sin in our lives

Exodus 14:13 13 - - - Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

The Egyptians were holding the Jewish people in bondage. The Word came from God to His people saying “The Egyptians whom you see today you shall see no more”.

Who or what is the Egyptian in your life today? What is that thing that is holding you in bondage. God says you will see it no more.

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray for wisdom and leadership for the pastoral staff in dealing with the challenges of ministry, be they physical, emotional, or spiritual.

November 21 - -His name shall be Jesus

Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

“And His name was called Jesus” The father was always the one who named the child. So we see here that it was not Mary who named the child nor was it Joseph who named the child. It was God who selected the name that was given to the child born of a virgin in the stable at Bethlehem.

“His name is to be Jesus”. This was the name given to Mary by the angel and Jesus was the name given to the angel by God the Father. So in this scripture we see God the Father who is saying “His name shall be called Jesus”.

We see in this scripture proof that Jesus truly is the Son of God.

What do you think?

November 21- - The Word became flesh

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Christmas is the celebration of the Word becoming flesh. We have here a picture of Jesus leaving heaven and taking on the form of a man. Not just any man but a man that beheld the glory of God. A man that was full of grace and truth

Grace is simply the receiving from God that which we do not deserve. Grace is a gift from God. Jesus was and is full of God’s gift of grace, God’s salvation.

Jesus was and is full of grace but Jesus was also full of truth.

John 8:32 - - - and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus came bring God’s grace of salvation which is forgiveness of sin but also brings to us Gods truth which sets us free from the bondage of sin.

What do you think?
Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that members of the congregation will convey a strong witness of the gospel to their community, through integrity, love, and godliness.

What a great testimony of the loving care of Jesus. Yes Jesus is all these thing and much more. How did John say it in his gospel of Jesus?

John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

11/18 As a child I feared God the Father. He was one pretty mean dude, One day when I was 20 I couldn't stand life anymore and I "Felt" I could call upon Jesus. He would be safe. He was and is and called me by name and spoke with gentleness to me and said the path would be tough. Jesus saved me and forgave my sins and I urge everyone to "test drive" this Shepherd with the Holy Name. He doesn't scatter but gathers you that have never had a loving life. He is wholly mine and I am His.

November 19 - - His name shall be Jesus

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

The Angel told Mary, “You shalt call his name JESUS”. Speaking in Hebrew the Angel said, Mary you shall call his name "YE-SHU-AH" which means "GOD SAVES" or "SALVATION".

For 33 years, JESUS was known as "YESHUAH" the Carpenter from Nazareth, YESHUAH is translated Jesus. The name is pronounced different but it still means the same “SALVATION”

The very name of Jesus speaks of God’s salvation. Jesus is salvation.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Join me as we began to prepare for this very special time of the year. A time of CHRIST--MAS

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray that God will bless the financial needs of the church, calling believers to give generously and sacrificially through tithes and offerings.

In the Old Testament the name of God was considered to be so holy that they would not speak it or write it. For 1500 years, from Moses to Jesus, the name of GOD was never spoken throughout Ancient Israel except on Yom Kippur by the High Priest when he was alone in the innermost part of the Holy Temple.

When spoken it was referred to as "A-don-ai," meaning "Lord." When written a space was left open where the name was to be placed. Even today when a Jewish person writes the name of God the vowel is left out and is written "G-d"

I recall when I was a young boy I was taught that the name of Jesus was so holy that when it was spoken I was to bow my head. Nothing has changed the name of Jesus is still that holy.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray for members of the congregation battling physical illness or emotional struggles, or facing spiritual needs. Ask God to minister to them in miraculous ways.

Than you for goodie, not and explanation. I explained in the Sharing Room that my marriage is closed to finished. I couldn't send out a team letter to that affect and it just never came up in your devotions. He took away my computer and everything, but not my dignity and relationship with the Lord. You weren't being ignored. People often have great trials to bear and I just wasn't here for mostly everyone. I am glad you are posting again but seeing nothing has changed in my life I cannot guarantee a response to you every day. I am sure in your heart you knew I must have had good reason. Welcome back, Herb.

Nov 16 - - A new name written down in glory

Genesis Chapter 32 verse 28 ""Your name will no longer be Jacob," the man told him. "It is now Israel, because you have struggled with both God and men and have won."

It is interesting that God gives new names in the Bible, and the names are reflective of their new lives with God. Abram becomes Abraham. Sarai becomes Sarah. Jacob becomes Israel. Simon becomes Peter.

God also gives us a new name when we come to him in Jesus. This new name also reflects our new life in Jesus.

I love the old song
“There’s a new name written down in glory
And it’s mine yes it’s mine.

What do you think?

Pray for our Churches. If revival is going to come it will come through the believer. Pray for the shut-ins in our church, as well as those who are widowed and living alone. Ask God to bless and encourage them, anointing their lives with power for ministry as well as help for the needs they face daily.

August 22 - - Psalm 139 - David’s prayer of Praise #5
Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? Were do you hide from a God that knows what your thinking

So there is an advantage in God being everywhere and there is also a disadvantage.

So what is the disadvantage? The disadvantage in God being everywhere is that God sees and knows everything that we do. So we know we can't hide our sin from God. What does the Word say “Be sure your sin will find you out”.

So what is the advantage? The advantage in God being everywhere is that no matter where we are God is already there and is able to take care of us. No matter what happen to us God is already there and he has taken us into his right hand to take care of us.

What do you think?

August 21 - - Psalm 139 - David’s prayer of Praise #4

Then David says
Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Where do you hide from a God that knows everything about you?

David says if I go way up into the highest part of the heavens, God you are there; if I dig a hole and go into the deepest part of the earth, God you are there. Then He says if I fly on the wings of the dawn, and go to the far side of the sea or the other side of the world, God is even there

This can be a good thing because it goes on to say, even there in the highest place or in the lowest place, even on the other side of the world, God you will guide me and take care of me. Your right hand will hold me.

It is great to know that God is always with me. It is great to know that I am never alone.

Hebrews 13:5 5 - - - - “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

If you have been following this post and would like for it to continue then let me know by a post or an emotion.

August 20 - - Psalm 139 - David’s prayer of Praise #3

Psalm 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Our mind is too small to really understand God. It is like trying to put a watermelon into a Dixie cup. It's just not going to fit.

We try so hard to understand who God is but the truth is we never will. So what we can't understand we must except by faith.

What do you think?

August 19 - - Psalm 139 - David’s prayer of Praise #2

Psalm 139:3-5 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

God knows everything going on in our lives. God knows where we are and God knows how we feel. God knows when we’re not feeling good and when we feel great. God knows when we are lonely and when were depressed and sad. God is aware of everything going on in our lives

I think David sums it up in this next verse when he says “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me to even understand and too lofty for me to attain”.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray for our city that the people throughout the city will open their hearts to the voice of God, and grasp that He has a loving and eternal plan for their lives.

16 August 16 - - Psalm 139 - David’s prayer of Praise #1

Psalm 139:1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

David begins his prayer of praise by praying “God hast searched me and known me”. Are you ready to do as David did and open your whole life up to God? To allow God to search you and know you. Are their things in your life that you would rather not allow God to know? Will if there is I have some bad news for you God already know about them.

I think that this is what makes this Psalm so fantastic. It tells us that God knows everything about us.

So did David give God an invitation to search him and know him? No I don’t think so. It says that God already searched him and God already knows him the same way He already knows us.

What do you think?

August 15 - - Jesus in the Temple #7

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

It is as simple as this; Jesus became our sin and took the punishment for our sins on the cross but not only were our sins forgiven we were also given the righteousness of Jesus. It is this righteousness of Jesus that makes us right with God. Jesus became our sin we became the righteousness of Jesus.

It is by the righteousness of Jesus that we enter into the reward of Heaven. So when we stand before God He will ask us if we have any righteousness. God will tell us that we will be unable to enter Heaven without righteousness which means “being right with God”.

When we stand before God we will be able to say --- Yes I have righteousness I have the righteousness of your Son Jesus who gave it to me on the cross.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray that God will grant the pastoral leadership a strong sense of vision for His plans regarding the church and congregation.

Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

There it is again. Jesus said “Don’t you know I must be about My Fathers Business. The last part of July we talked in great deal about the Fathers Business. Over and over in God’s Word we see Jesus telling us the reason He came.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luke 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And let us not forget that Jesus came to take our place on the cross. The cross was not prepared for Jesus it was prepared for us. It was our sins that nailed Jesus to the Cross.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

August 13 - - Jesus in the Temple #5

Luke 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Mary asks Jesus "why have you done this to us?"

Jesus' reply was not what you might expect form a young boy. "Why are you searching for Me, don't you know I must be about my father work?" Jesus knew he was to honor his mother and so when she told him to return home he did so.

At the beginning of this scripture it says that Jesus grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. Jesus didn't become the Son of God when He was born in Bethlehem. Jesus didn't become the Son of God when He was twelve years old in the temple.

Jesus was in the beginning. In the beginning before anything was there was “the Word - Jesus”. Before the world was there was “the Word – Jesus”. Before the angels were there was “the Word- Jesus”. Before anything was there was “the Word- Jesus”. And the Word - Jesus was with God and “the Word - Jesus was and is God”. Everything that was made was made by 'the Word - Jesus' and “In the Word - Jesus was life” and it is this life that was in the Word - Jesus that gave life to each of us.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray that the lives of our pastoral staff will be marked by integrity and godliness.

August 12 - - Jesus in the Temple #4

Luke 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

No wonder they were astonished at His understanding of the law. They were talking not only to the one that understood the law but the one who gave them the law. They were talking to the one who not only knew about God, but who was and is God.

The story does not end in a temple with a young boy who is the “Word that became flesh”. This is the story of God who became man that He might take upon Himself the sin of the world. This is the “Word that became flesh” that now lives in my heart and I hope your heart.

What do you think?

August 9- - Jesus in the Temple #3

Luke 2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

Now Mary and Joseph had started home thinking that Jesus was with others in the family. As they walked along it was common for the men to walk together with the men and the women to walk with the women. It wasn't until evening when Mary and Joseph came together that they noticed that Jesus was not with them.

They were a full day’s journey from Jerusalem or about twenty miles from the city. Mary and Joseph must have been sick with worry not knowing where Jesus was. Early the next morning Mary and Joseph hurried back to Jerusalem, but it was evening when they finally arrived. They searched three days before they found Jesus in the temple with the teachers of the law. All that heard Jesus were astonished at his understanding. How could a 12 year old child know so much about Jewish Law?

How could a 12 year old child know so much about Jewish Law? Now this is a very good question. Could it be that Jesus was not really 12 years old?

John 1:1,14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word that was in the beginning took on the form of a human man. The Word that was in the beginning became the man Jesus. So was Jesus really just 12 years old or was he eternal having no beginning?

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray for wisdom and leadership for the pastoral staff in dealing with the challenges of ministry, be they physical, emotional, or spiritual.

August 8- - Jesus in the Temple #2

Luke 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

This was an exciting week for Jesus. Many new and exciting things were taking place. There was worship and sacrifices offered at the temple. This year Jesus would be able to participate.

Jesus must have walked through the city watching and looking at all that was taking place. Jesus knew that this was a special city and He knew that the Temple was a very special place. The Temple was very special because Jesus knew it was the House of His Father. When Jesus entered the Temple He noticed the teaching that was taking place.

Jesus was and is God Incarnate, God in the form of a man. So when Jesus entered the temple it became a special time, a time of being in His Father’s house.

We no longer need to go to the temple or church to be in the Fathers house we are now the Fathers House.

1 Corinthians 6 :19 19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

What do you think?

August 7- - Jesus in the Temple #1

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
Luke 2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
Luke 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

Each year men, woman and children made the journey to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. This year it was especially exciting for Jesus because He was 12 Years old. His twelfth year was when He would be considered a man and would begin to observe the laws required of all Jewish men

The Passover was a weeklong celebration marking the day God had freed the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt. Moses, the servant of God, had asked Pharaoh to let the Hebrew people go but Pharaoh refused. It was God's will to set His people free so He brought terrible plagues upon Pharaoh and the Egyptians. Pharaoh continued to refuse in spite of these terrible plagues.

Then came the tenth plague. God warned that every first born child in Egypt would die if Pharaoh did not let the people go. God provided a way for His people to be saved from this plague of death. Each family was to sacrifice a perfect male lamb and place its blood around the door frame of their home. God said, “When I see the blood I will pass over you”.

The Passover is the perfect picture of the cross. Jesus is the Passover lamb and it is by the blood of Jesus, the Passover lamb that we enter into salvation. Salvation comes by the blood of the Passover Lamb, Jesus.

What do you think?

August 6 - - Taking Care of the Father's Business #11

Jesus said we are to take care of the Family Business. He also said that He would gave us the Holy Spirit who gives us the power that enables us to do this.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Before Jesus returned to His place in Glory He told us that we are now to take care of the FAMILY BUSINESS. Not only did he tell us to take care of the FAMILY BUSINESS He also gave us what or I should say Who we needed to help us do it.

Jesus said, I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, another one of the same, one who is just like Me. Only this one, THE HOLY SPIRIT, will live in you. He will give you power to do what I have called you to do. He will lead and guide you in all truth. So we are to take care of the FAMILY BUSINESS by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us do a BUSINESS CHECK. Let’s look at the books and see how well the BUSINESS IS DOING.

Are we doing what God has called us to do? Before Jesus left he told us, His disciples, that we are now the ones to do the Fathers work. Jesus placed us in charge of the FAMILY BUSINESS.

What do you think?

August 5 - - Taking Care of the Father's Business #10

Taking care of the Father’s business requires us to be priests and intercessors.

It tell us in 1Peter 2:9 that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:?

We have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light. And now we are to take that light, His marvelous light, back into the darkness so that it might call others out.

Jesus said
Matthew 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Matthew 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Matthew 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Matthew 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Matthew 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me

I have never seen thing so confused in all my life. It seems as though the church is doing what the world should be doing and the world is doing what the church should be doing. It is the churches responsibility to take care of the poor and those who are hurting. Jesus said as you do to the least of these you do unto Me. It is a disciple's responsibility to take care of the poor, the sick, those in prison and the homeless.

Few churches are taking care of the poor. Few churches have a program within the church where they feed and clothe those who are in need. Few churches ever visit a nursing home or even those within the fellowship who are sick. The shut-ins are seldom called or visited by most churches. According to this scripture it is the churches responsibility to take care of those who are in need.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray for the shut-ins in our church, as well as those who are widowed and living alone. Ask God to bless and encourage them, anointing their lives with power for ministry as well as help for the needs they face daily.

August 3 - - Taking Care of the Father's Business #9

Taking care of the Father’s business requires us to be priests and intercessors. We are also called to intercede for those that have never accepted Jesus into their lives, the unbeliever.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.

What does it mean preach or to proclaim the gospel? It could be simply speaking God’s Word and explaining what it means. It could mean telling a person what God has done for you in your life. It could be simply living such a life that a person would see Jesus in you.

We are to proclaim the gospel to the whole world. What is our whole world? It is that part of the world in which we live. The street we live on, the place where we work, the gym where we work out.

We are to be the Light of The World. The world is in darkness because of sin. It can no longer see the difference between right and wrong. Satan and his powers of darkness have blinded them. We are the light of the world. The light that Jesus has sent into the world to remove the darkness. We are the light that will enable the world to see its sin and come to Jesus. We are the light of the world and light always has power over darkness. When light comes in darkness always has to leave.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray that members of the congregation will convey a strong witness of the gospel to their community, through integrity, love, and godliness.

August 2 - Taking Care of the Father's Business #8

Taking care of the Father’s business requires us to be priests and intercessors. We are also called to intercede for those who are sick

Mark 16:18 - - - - they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

We are to pray by laying hands on the sick. We are given the promise that they will recover.

James 5:14 Is any among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
James 5:15 and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.

If you are sick you are to call on the church to pray. Notice it says that you are the one who are to call for prayer. The church is to anoint you with oil in the name of Jesus. The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up.

This is the Word of God and the Word of God must be 100% correct or none of it can be trusted. If we can’t believe all the Word we can’t believe any of the Word. If this part of God’s Word is not true how can we know the part I trust for my salvation is.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray for members of the congregation battling physical illness or emotional struggles, or facing spiritual needs. Ask God to minister to them in miraculous ways.

August 1 - Taking Care of the Father's Business #7

Taking care of the Father’s business requires us to be priests and intercessors. We are to intercede for those who are in Christ but also for those who are not in Christ, for all men.

1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2 for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

It tells us in Timothy that we are to pray and intercede for all men both Christians and non- Christians. We are to pray prayers of supplication and also prayers of thanksgiving, we are to pray for kings and those in high places. That would be our President, Congressmen, Senators, Governors and Mayors. It even tells us what to pray. Pray that they will provide for us a quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

A great way to intercede is to do a prayer walk. A pray walk is a great way to pray for the need of those around us. Simply walk through the neighborhood and pray for each house. Pray for their needs. If they are not saved pray for their salvation. Pray for their health. Pray for the father, mother and for the children. When you’re driving and stopped at a red light pray for that person in the car in front of you or the one in back. If we don't pray for them it is most likely no one will.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray that God will provide for those who are hurting and in need, both locally and nationally. Ask that He move on the hearts of believers to help meet needs in as much as they are able to do so.

July 31 - Taking Care of the Father's Business #6

Taking care of the Father’s business requires us to be priests and intercessors

1Pe 2:9 But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may shew forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

If we are indeed a Royal Priesthood then we need to know the roll of a priest. A priest is a person that stands in the gap between God and another person. A priest takes another’s persons place before God. A priest is an intercessor. A good picture of this would be a Lawyer standing in a court of Low defending a person being accused of a crime.

We are first of all to be intercessors for those who are in Christ this would be the Church.

Eph 6:18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

We are to intercede in prayer for all the saints. We are to pray on behalf of those who are in Christ. Prayer is a very serious thing. When a person asks you to pray they are in need and are depending on you to go before God on their behalf. When we go before God on behalf of another person we are acting as a priest.

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray that the lives of our pastoral staff will be marked by integrity and godliness.

Leviticus 25:8,13-14 The Year of Jubilee 8 “And you shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall be to you forty-nine years.
13 “In this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his property. 14 And if you sell to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

The Year of Jubilee was a time of forgiveness. A picture of the “acceptable year of the Lord. The “acceptable year of the Lord” is a time of forgiveness. The forgiveness of sin through the Blood of Jesus.

Luke 2:13-14
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The angles proclaimed the “year of the Lord” when they announced to the to the shepherd’s “Peace on Earth Good Will to Man”. The peace the angles were proclaiming was peace between God and man. Jesus brought this peace. This was the first time that this could have been said since Adam sinned in the garden Therefor this was the first acceptable year of the Lord since Adam sinned.

29 July 29 - Taking Care of the Father's Business #4

Isaiah 61:1-2 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

So what is the Fathers Business? We have already looked at Luke 4 where Jesus stood up in the synagogue and read these words from the Book of Isaiah 61.

What we do not need to overlook is that when Jesus read from this book of Isaiah He stopped short. Jesus did not read the last part of verse 2. Jesus said that He come to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and Jesus proclaimed it in His ministry and in His death on the cross but Jesus will come again to proclaim the second part of this verse. When Jesus comes the second time Jesus will proclaim the day of vengeance.

So what is the “acceptable year of the Lord”? Or I should say WHO is the “acceptable year of the Lord”?

What do you think?

Pray for revival. - - Today let us pray for members of the congregation battling physical illness or emotional struggles, or facing spiritual needs. Ask God to minister to them in miraculous ways.

I did good again today. I brought a clerk homemade chicken noodle soup and she actually cried because no one, that she can recall, did that for her before. She is a Christian and I was an ambassador to how God desires us to represent Him at all times in all things and compliment that person as we do Christ's works.
