Good for you! I know weddings and such are definitely a huge motivation. I'm in one next month, and the thought of standing up there in the dress motivates me too. I actually went to get my dress hemmed today, and ended up having to have it taken in! Which is great considering it was hard to zip when it first arrived. I was the biggest bridesmaid at the last wedding I was in, and want to feel more confident this time around.

Feel free to join in on our daily weigh in thread, and I'll be sure to check out your blogs! Keep up the great work!

My goal is HUGE motivation. My BIL is getting married in 2 1/2 weeks and I'm a bridesmaid... or, er, bridesmatron? Is that a word? Anyway, my 3 SIL's (including the bride) are teeny-tiny and gorgeous. I don't want to look "big" standing next to them.

My main strategy to stay on track is my daily weigh in. I weigh every morning as soon as I wake up and use the bathroom, and even though sometimes the number fluctuates with water weight, I find it very motivating to resist tempting goodies.
My other main strategy is spark blogging. I love having something super happy to blog about. It makes me feel really accomplished!

I don't know about you, but I find I need a little more motivation to maintain good eating and exercise habits in the winter. It's not just the holidays, but the weather and the temptation of comfort. If it's cold outside, it's harder to climb out of a warm bed in the morning to hit the streets running. And the warm, cozy, fill-me-up food and drink temptations seem a whole lot more comforting than that cold spinach salad that got me through the summer.

Do you have any tricks, thoughts, or hints that help you stay motivated? Maybe you have a photo of a favorite celeb that keeps you on track. Or a quote, or a person?

One thing that motivates me is, of course, the scale. I weigh in daily to keep myself in check, and have a "warning bells" weight that I've given myself. Once I see that weight on the scale, I know I better lay off the oatmeal cookies.

The daily weigh-in thread on the message board helps me stick to this too - when you know you have to share your weight with the world, it gives you a little more motivation to keep it on track.

And sometimes when I'm standing in my kitchen, about to eat something, I ask myself, "Would you rather eat this, or see a lower number on the scale tomorrow?" Or, "Is it worth eating this if it means tomorrow morning the number on the scale may be higher?" Sometimes the answer is YES, it's worth it. Haha... And sometimes it's just plain NOT.

So what tricks or tools do you use to stay focused?
