Oh I remember Chicago weather all too well....I grew up on the far south side. Fall and spring were my favorite seasons. Here in Miami, the weather starts to cool down in December to about March. It takes a while to get used to it. I don't dress as nice as I used to because because of the heat. My husband had some "use it or lose it" vacation and so last weekend we went to Maine for a day and a half and then to Boston.....the weather was a welcome relief compared to Miami's sauna weather; I got in a quick run in Maine and we walked around Boston for about 8 miles!!!!! I honestly do not mind the heat, but the humidity is what makes it hard to do anything outside especially when there is no breeze.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. No school tomorrow for the kids so we will be meeting up with a friend and her 3 kids who are driving down from West Palm Beach and heading to the park.

Considering the heat we had this summer in Chicago, the change of season is actually increasing my workout willingness. Most of my exercising is walking in my neighborhood, so it's now becoming pleasant rather than sweltering!

I live in Miami so the weather is hot for most of the year. I am active all year round, except for the summer. My time is devoted to the kids amd making sure they do not stay indoors all day because it is too hot and humid to do anything else. While my running slows down, I will hop in the pool, go to the outlet mall down the street from my house and walk around once maybe twice (one lap around is almost a mile) and I do a lot of indoor cardio. Each year I spend on Spark, I am learning how to take better care of myself and in turn how to take better care of my family. I am so glad I stumbled across Spark; I am happier and healthier than I have been in a long time. The Spark community has helped me see that it is possible to exercise in extreme heat safely. I just turned 41 in August, but I don't feel like it.
