Just when I had been chiding myself for not having even apples or oranges or bananas on hand for quick snacks, here i am given the objectives of having 3 fruits or vegs daily - or is it that 'try for 3 a week at a minimum'.

Whatever, will try to have 3 or 4 fruits and vegs a day going forward.

am tracking food and fitness daily, for now.

walking every work day. and i work full-time

trying to cycle on the sixth day of the week, when i'm off work

had a community pool day yesterday - will try to keep that up - it's good toning for my body and inner thighs and hamstrings and hips and rest of legs - if i could just keep up with the pool.

Week 7, Day 5 .... yippee...lost a pound! I'm still on track to lose 8 pounds in this 8-week weight loss challenge. I can't ask for more. For me, the Every Other Day Diet is working. On each odd-day I limit my calories to 500. I started last Thursday so after 3 days of 500 calories, and 2 days of regular eating of 1000 calories...I'm starting to see real results.

Sandra...you can do it! I've survived breast cancer, heart attack, triple bypass, etc. and I learned that with a positive attitude, you can survive just about anything. Just keep thinking and looking forward and giving it your best. Some days are easy and some days are not so easy but you're still waking up on the right side of the grass so be thankful for all the blessings we have. See you in week 8!!!!

Week 7, Day 3... moving right along. I also started the The Every Other Day Diet in conjunction with this program. Will be interesting to see how it comes out and if I really lose 10 pounds in 8 weeks....at my age I doubt it...LOL

Yes, Sandra my husband and I go over to the gym really early...but we also go to bed around 7-7:30pm. I do 50-55 minutes on the elliptical and 25-30 mins on the treadmill in the early morning and then I go back and do 65 mins on the treadmill in the afternoon. It is a real benefit to have a fitness center where I live.

This is my LDL Apheresis treatment week so Tuesday I get 3-5 extra pounds of fluid put on me that takes me 3 days to get rid of...LOL Never a dull moment!

Week 7, Day 1...I work out every morning at 3:45am on a Precor Elliptical....LOVE IT. I vary my routine...1 minute forward, 2 minutes backwards, 3 minutes forward and holding on to the arms...hope you enjoy it! Good luck!

Very hot in my area - had a power failure last night. Not motivated to walk the dog in this heat but still trying to meet my minimal fitness minutes for this month.

We also bought a Precor elliptical (with reluctance). Has anyone had success with this?

Had to go to the doctor late yesterday for a little vertigo problem emoticon . So no exercise for me today. emoticon Bummer!

Had to be content with eating emoticon on the low end of my range.

Hubby drove me to the store since the doctor said no driving for 3-4 days emoticon .

I will have to emoticon in the emoticon for the weekend.

But the meals for the week are planned and the emoticon purchased.

I decided to finish week 6 early. I have done all the recommendations. And this weeks' focus, water, is one I do pretty regularly!
I always need help with freggies, so I will start week 7 on Friday the 15th.

WEEK 7 Day 4

Another rainy day so I did the Rainy Day Workout. Tomorrow it's something different come rain or rain! emoticon

Did 35 minutes on the Wii Fit Plus. Working on the Kung Fu. emoticon

Lots of walking at Costco today.

Got a couple of good emoticon in. Did the emoticon Rainy Day Workout. It seemed appropriate! emoticon Also did about 30 minutes with the WiiFit Plus. Still working on the Yoga! emoticon emoticon It's going to be a while!?

WEEK 7 Day 2

emoticon 3 times today. I got a WiiFitPlus and have created a workout routine for this week - 35 minutes worth. Did a little emoticon and some Kung Fu Fighting- emoticon . Okay, maybe I can't get my leg quite that high yet. Don't we need goals?! emoticon Also, doing some step aerobics with the Wii.

We are back from a 2 1/2 week trip emoticon . I decided to suspend this challenge while we were gone as I would have trouble reporting. I'm doing the 5% challenge and found it hard to get everything in.

But I'm back emoticon and ready to get going again.

I've done two emoticon sessions today and plan on getting another one in this afternoon. I'm looking forward to trying the stability emoticon routine. I'm also doing some yoga exercises using the WiiFitPlus. emoticon I'm so new to yoga that this picture is how I feel after 5 exercises.

I've planned my emoticon for the week and bought my emoticon .

Haven't been checking in here lately, but still going strong! Finished up week 6 with 25 miles for the week, and then started week 7 with an 8.5 mile hike and a game of tennis. Still tracking my food most days, but we're eating so healthy now that I'm not as obsessed with the numbers as I was before. I'm stuck at 10 units of Lantus in the AM & PM in order to keep good control of my numbers, but I don't take the Janumet anymore except for with certain high carb meals, like pasta or tomato sauces. I have 2 weeks left of this challenge, and 6 weeks left of the lose 10% challenge and so far it looks like I will be meeting both goals! I'm looking forward to shopping for my new running shoes.
