Week 5 Day 1: I am feeling great this morning because my bp is in the normal range opposed to stroke level. I am excited to begin week 5 of this challenge. I will continue logging my meals. I usually have a smoothie in the mornings for breakfast, but when I choose to cook breakfast it still includes healthy ingredients like spinach, celery, bell peppers, onions and some type of protein. My usual exercise is walking and for now I have to stick with that due to medical reasons, but it works. emoticon

Week 5 - D7 Did everything on the plan for week 5. Not losing any weight though. When I took a week off to be with my Mom I did fast food (a lot) so now I need to get the weight back off again! Funny how fast I can gain it and how long it takes to lose it! emoticon

I have increased the daily steps I want to take to 500 a day. I know that's not too many but good for me with only 30-35% heart function! I have to take it slow and easy. Otherwise I get dizzy and very out of breathe. emoticon

My goal is to exercise five days a week. 3 days a week at the gym and 2 long walks in neighborhood per week, but I'm not there yet, hope to in June!

Slow and steady wins the race against myself!

W5 -D3 FBS 107.

Got all my "good for me" foods today. New plans for eating better this week. I don't know if any of you have tried the "SP" Refrigerator Bran Muffins but they taste killer with blueberries in them and they don't seem to drive up my sugar as bad as the other ones do.

Planning my first hike - Wilson Ponds, Nampa. Lots of birds reported!

I was worried yesterday my fbs was 144. It had been just over 2 days since I had been taken off one of the meds and I was concerned it was a bad sign but today it was 106

CHRISTINE - - I do some of those chair exercises myself from time to time. They have some pretty good ones. There are also stretching exercises particularly for people with bad backs.
