Whoops. I stopped at 5 minutes for the strengthening/core. I've got some catching up to do. Cardio is dancing for warm-up 10 minutes then out the door I go walking as much as I can, back in the house and do chair exercises.
Okay I practiced for a week and went food shopping. So I'm ready to start the 8 week challenge. My salt intake is 1500 grams. Watch the cheese and pretzel intake.

I don't have any resistance bands, so I did Coach Nicole's 10 minute crunchless core workout, I'm still feeling it today. I've gotta keep working those core muscles :)

I have been working out 4-5 days per week in the gym for the past several months. I started working once a week with a personal trainer, who has worked with me using resistance bands already. Been working with the trainer on a weekly basis since February - what a great addition this has been to my fitness, and well worth the money. I have knee problems and she always finds great exercises for me that benefit my physical limitations. All I can say is that the BOSU ball is the greatest! We continue to make progress and "up the ante" on exercise!

It is the rainy season here in Honduras and because of the hills in my village and the wet cobble stones, I had an easy excuse not to start walking. Then I determined to find away around the obstacle. So I started "House Walking" today. I go down the hall , turn around on the patio, back down the hall, turn around in the garage and start the circuit again. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was now that I am 30# lighter than I was last year. I was able to do 2700 steps in 29 min = 1.5 miles. Actually I could have continued because I was not tired, out of breath, or hurting. But I was concerned that I would feel the after effects tomorrow if I did too much.
However, on Wednesday I will definitely go for 5000 steps -- that should be about 1 hour. Tomorrow, I will do the Sitting Resistance Band workout. It is for 20 min --- so it will take some endurance on my part. I thought about breaking it into two sessions but I know me and I probably would not "get around" to the second half. So I will just decrease the reps if I can't manage the 15 they suggest. That way my whole body will get some benefit from the workout.

Yikes looked over the toning vid. Never used a toning band? I think brother in law is gonna loan me one until I can get one? Doing the toning exercises has been the hardest for me...... well, week 3 here I come.

Great but I need to go get a better band to use. One I have had no handles and was to short. But I'm still getting it done. Great for beginners.

Did the core one. It was challenging for ,e. Glad I did it. Not as often as was suggested though.

Better once I had the kind of resistance bands with handles. I'm wondering about fit. How long should they be in relation to your arms, seated and standing height, etc? They just don't feel right.

I will be run/walking a 4 mile loop. If there's no ice on the road, I'll run. If icy, I walk.
I worked out at curves four times this week. In spite of having a cold. In the past I would have used having a cold for quitting. I have continued to incorporate yoga in my stretches.

Thanks so much for providing something else I can do! Chris
I like the video - it's easy to do without a lot of equipment, which is nice. I think once I get the hang of it, I can do it without watching the video. But the link at the bottom makes it easy to track!
The video is definitely worth a try - I think anyone can do it.

Have been using the 20 minute Resistance Bands video for the last 2 weeks and am finally doing them with proper form. Don't have time to learn a new routine because we're going camping in 2 days, but I will continue with the band exercises (I've got a paper copy) and wil just increase reps and /or sets so they don't get too comfortable. Will learn a new routine when we get back in 2 weeks. Because we wil be out in the "back beyond" I have a notebook and will be paper tracking and then plugging in numbers to see how I have done on my own. Really like the video, challenging but not impossible. I have some mobility issues so it was just right for me.

Have used the video twice. Pulled a muscle and can't do the alternative as I recently had knee surgery and can't kneel. Am going to substitute my own plan covering the same muscles until I can do the video again. I am realizing that even with Curves I am not in as good shape as I thought. I want to finish the program as I am trying to lose some regain before September knee surgery.

Looking forward to watching the video later today and seeing if I can use resistance bands. As long as I don't have to kneel I should be okay. Enjoying the challenge so far!

I have trouble with resistance bands - to much for an old injuries but can do the hand wieghts well - currently using 4 pound weights and that seems to work okay for my arm. For lower body and core I use balance ball and then some machines at the gym. As they say at the beginning you have to modify to meet your bodies individual needs.

I DID do the alternative, and was very pleased that I could do it in one session. Usually I have to space it out. So, I'm going to do it every other day this week.
I continue to go to the pool for cardio...this week is 45 min.

Never really felt like I was doing the desk video as I should. Seemed as if the band is a little easier. So hope can do it awhile and go back to the desk. Trying to keep record of what I am eating. Gonna completethis?

I like that they have the demo video's here and such a wide variety... It is making it much easier for me to find exercises I like and enjoy. The bands are definitely one I like.
